AER63 Range - Instructions

Broiler worked, Oven did not.
Remove two Phillips screws, unplug element, reverse for installation.
Did not correct the issue.
After replacing the oven temperature control also, it turned out the control board was the issue all along.

removed two screws to faceplate at rear of oven. Disconntected contact wires, installed bake element reconnected contact wires, attached faceplate turned on oven holy hell it works just saved some money on service call thanks!!!

Ordered new element from PartSelect. It arrived shortly. It did not match the original. Guy at appliance store explained how I could connect the wires on the new one. It still did not fix the problem. A repair man tried for 2.5 hours to fix it with no success. Now I will return the replacement element in the return envelope provided ... Read more .

The old part, including lightbulb and socket, had corroded into place, and the glass light cover was stuck to the socket. I used a dead blow hammer and a dowel just under the diameter of the hole to tap on the back side of the socket to loosen it and get it out. The metal tabs on the old socket were folded back to make it fit better (?), ... Read more which made it harder to remove. Lots of muscling of the part to get it out. Easy to install new part once old one was out of the way. An experienced person would have removed the old part and installed the new in no time.

I trouble shot and traced out to electrical short in face panel and found burnt wires. I've been a licensed electrician for years and it takes alot of comon sense to trouble shoot and find problem. Since the instructions and templates included didn't apply to my unit I had to improvise. The new Bump Out Bracket was way sturdier and thicker than the factory one removed. Very nice bracket!
Measuring down the wall from where the back of the cabinet actually touches the wall, down to the same distance as the microwave height (@ 15. ... Read more 5") I made a level line on the wall.
I positioned the bump out so the microwave would rest on the support at that measurement so when swinging the microwave into place the back top edge of the microwave would rest just below the wood of the cabinet. ( I went 1/8" lower to be safe). Then secured in place with two wall studs (I got lucky to find two) and two toggle bolts, one at either end of the upper bump out bracket.
Measured the distance for my front support screws in the upper cabinet and drilled two 5/16" holes. Used the same mounting screws in the upper cabinet and a flat washer on each for safety.

I installed the new switch. No difference. I switched elements with the other 8”. Same thing. I called Part Select and their rep said he doubted the new switch was defective but if it was they would replace it. But first how about trading the new switch with the other 8” switch that is working. I did that and the new switch worked fine on ... Read more that burner but the old switch that worked before allowed the bad burner to go to red hot. Now I’m at a loss. All I see is a new stove. I don’t know what to do next and am open to any and all suggestions.

Just turn off power , remover screws. Remove and plug in new part.

Followed instructions on urine that you provided. Instructions were great.
Only problem had was the screw was hard to get loose on one due to oven usage from previous people but I got it after a bit and then fairly simple from there. Unplugged and plugged new element in. Works although seems to run a bit hotter than before.

very easy watched the howto you gave

use needle nose pliers to disconnect the element from the power supply. After disconnecting it was easy to repair.

I used the replacement video from the web site. The replacement went great.

Video said to remove screws and lift stove top off, remove contacts and ground. My stove top was hinged and required me to lift and pivot stovetop up. The burners were anchored to the stove base not the top. I secured the topso that it would not drop down and proceeded with repair

After my husband replace it we noticed that our knob was worn to the point it would not turn on the new switch. I am sure the switch was o.k. so kept the old one and getting a knob to fix the issue.

Two screws to remove glass top. 2 connectors to remove. Removed glass top and put it upside down. Remove 4 wires and 2 Phillips screws. Reverse steps.
