This part is connected to the rear bulkhead of the dryer with screws. It provides a way of connecting individual electrical wires and offers protection of the device from electrical surges (voltages and/or currents).

This cycling thermostat has a limit of 140 degrees Fahrenheit and a differential of 15 degrees. This means that with this thermostat, your dryer's heating element will cut out at 140 degrees Fahrenheit and cycle back on when the dryer's internal temperature drops by 15 degrees.

This thermostat heater is two inches long. It is beige/brown in color and is made of plastic.

This hi-limit thermostat acts as as safety mechanism that keeps the dryer from overheating. With this thermostat, a dryer's heating element will cut out if the internal temperature reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The element will kick back in when the temperature drops to 260 degrees Fahrenheit - the differential of 40 degrees.
