After two repair people were unable to solve the problem, I read similar stories in your forum and decided to replace the check value as a last ditch effort. Looking at your diagrams it seemed like an easy repair. Removed four screws with nutdriver and replaced value by hand. Ran washer three times and water drained completely. Still puzz ... Took lower access panel off. Replaced broken cable and attached to double spring.

When it broke my wife wanted a new dishwasher? It cost $13.80 to fix and door works fine.

There are 4 phillips screws on two covers at the bottom front of the dishwasher, when they are removed, the cables and springs are accessible.
The springs and cables are replaced by hand only. Then the covers are replaced with the 4 screws.
DONE.

took out 4 screws pulled piston out and changed put back together. very easy and inexpensive!! thanks

Remove shield in rear. Unscrew valve using hand. Screw new valve in place.

Removed the 4 screws holding the filter screen assembly in the back of the tub. This exposed the Piston and Nut assembly which unscrewed fairly easily.
Replaced with the new part, put the filter screen assembly back in place ran the machine. The machine still stops with the blocked arm message - just not as frequently. The web rese ... Any other suggestions are welcomed.

This was surprisingly easy. I removed the 4 sheet metal screws that held on the lower colored panel on the front of the dishwasher. I hooked one of the cables to the little post on the bottom right edge of the door, and then hooked the other cable on the post at the bottom left. Read more stretched out the springs a half inch or so, and hooked them to the other cable, making sure the cables were seated on the wide rollers. I then opened the dishwasher door a few times to make sure all was well (it was) and replaced the 4 screws + lower panel. Voila!

Oh, and I cleaned around the edges of the lower panel while it was out. They are hard to get to when the panel is installed, and they were quite filthy, I'm embarrassed to say.

Snapped off the old wheel and discovered that the wire that held the wheel seemed bent, so I straightened it with a pliers and then snapped the new wheel on. It was so easy.

First I opened the dishwasher and removed the lower basket. Next I removed the 4 screws that hold the food filter plate in place at the back of the tub. Then I unscrewed the Piston/Check Valve assembly counterclockwise, located at the back center of the tub, by hand. I replaced the old part with the new one and reinstalled the filter p ... Read more late. I ran a rinse cycle to verify that that all of the water was purged. Finally, I reinstalled the lower basket and resumed using my dishwasher.

Installation of the two new lower rack rollers was extremely easy. Simply aligning each of the new rollers and pressing them into place completed the task in a few seconds.

This is more of a nuisance problem than repair. The new roller easily clipped together and then clipped into place on the lower dishwasher rack.

Popped the wheel in-- just like that! everything fixed!

a P. S. --- right after I replaced the missing wheel, my wife found the original wheel which had come off and slipped under the kitchen cabinet.
