ADE20L2W Admiral Dryer - Instructions

Opened up the top of the dryer. Had to use the internet to find the broken part since the last time I replaced a heating element it was at the bottom. This one was at the top behind the drum. Contrary to instructions that I found on the web, the element is not accessed through the back. Pop the top of the dryer up and the element is visible in the top of the back . Pretty easy job.

I had to replace the whole motor, Idler spring and idler Pulley Wheel. It went well but I wish I could have replaced just the berring and not the whole motor.

just replaced the part. I was happy how simple it is to order the parts from PartSelect, and be able to get the right measurement needed.plus how fast it came.

After I unplugged the unit, I used a flat screwdriver to pop the top open at the front, then tipped it back on the hinge. I then used a multi-meter to test resistance through any switch or safety device I could find. The thermal fuse was the hardest one to get to and was the only one that showed open, having no resistance. I had to remove ... Read more the screw that holds the heating element in place and carefully slide the element out of the way. The fuse is held in place by a metal strip or retainer and it has to be lifted up and right as you remove it. Unplug the wires from the old fuse and put in the new one. Then reverse the order of dis-assembly, plug it in and away you go, as long as that is the only issue, which mine was.

There was no reair needed. We just needed to replace the filter. The new filter arrived in a very short time and now we are drying clothes without losing lint through the dryer vent.

This was a very satisfying order experience!

I threw out the cracked lint screen and put the new one in it's place. I don't know why I waited so long to order the replacement part.

It wasnt to bad,its way easy for people with small hands its a tight fit for larger hands that was my only problem.After putting the dryer back in service it still did not heat correctly so I pulled the lint catcher out and the vent hose off the back and blew it out with an air compressor my God what a mess it was plugged bad should have ... I removed the old door seal and installed the new one algining the slots with the inserts and the seals. Old filter out, new filter in. Install was successful but dryer still not drying even though it's producing heat. I guess I will need a replacement.

Replace with new latch.

Pulled the old one off .Dry fitted the new one and pushed the retainers in place,took about 5 minutes.thank you.

The new filter did not fit properly. Used a buter knife to remove teh lint build up and WOO HOOO! the new filter fits perfectly :-)

This was real easy just slid the latch in front panel and attached to latch assembly to the door. The repair was about 45 seconds.
