e part I purchased. After replacing the removable socket and lightbulb, the bracket holding the light cover functioned perfectly with the new light socket cup. Final steps were to reconnect the power and ground wires to the removable socket. I then replaced the back cover over the light socket cup area. One word of advise. Be very careful when removing and reconnecting the cables to the removable light socket.

PULL RANGE OUT FROM WALL & ALSO REMOVED OVEN DOOR BY SLIDING UP. WORKING FROM INSIDE OVEN & ALSO BEHIND I REPLACED PART . ALWAYS " UNPLUG " RANGE BEFORE YOU START.

oven glass was cracked

The repair went very well. The second repair comnt to remove the hinge screws was a good correction from the first description. I had to go to that parts diagram to realize that the the two metal sleaves were insulation spacers for the two top screws.

Got door off no problem used screw drive to release locks and lifted door off. Took 3 1//4 screws out the 2 3" long screws out to separate door half's took screws of hinges and then8 1/4 inch screws of sheet metal that covered window. Removed fasteners holding door assembly together. Cleaned out broken glass. Placed new glass frame. Reinstalled fasteners

Screw drivers
removed 2 screws that hold the cover in place, inserted the new panel at the bottom, pushed top in place and reapplied the 2 screws.

small (inner) burner was not 'burning'

turn off the power at the breaker first
remove the 2 screws under the 'lip' of the stove top (open the oven door to get to them)
prop up the stove top on the cardboard box the part came in
pull off the wires one by one and attach to the new burner OR record where each wire goes first
remove the ... Read more old burner (2 screws) and attach the new burner
screw down the stove top
try the burner - when it does not work flip the power breaker back on and then try again
bask in the joy, admiration and wonder directed your way by various family members

Using a set of nut drivers, I unscrewed the element from the back of the stove, I unscrewed the thermometer, and unscrewed the brackets holding the element to the top of the oven compartment.
After the element was free, I pulled it out of the back of the oven, exposing the wiring. Using pliers, I disconnected the two wires, re ... Read more trieved the new element, and re-connected the wires to the new element.
I reconnected the thermometer, pushed the element back into the oven, reattached it to the back of the oven and the brackets to the top of the oven compartment.

I simply opened up the cooktop with a screwdriver and disconnected the wire ... Read more s to the affected burner. After the part arrived, I reconnected them. I had to swap over two brackets from the old burner, so don't throw it away until the new one arrives. It went back together very easily and worked immediately.

really easy 2 screws inside the oven back wall holding the element then in the back of the stove disconnect two wires and pull the element through two holes .and place the new one into the oven through the two holes and connect the two wires . i turned on the power and i works perfect!

Locate breaker box and turn off breaker to stove. Removed the two screw in front that hold the top in place. Raised the top and supported it with the box the new burner came in. mounting screws. Reinstalled the two screws in the front to hold the top in place then turned the breaker back on and tested burner. Worked great. Received part in 2 days.
