0. As a safety precaution, unplug the range or hit the relevant fuse breaker before you start. You might also want to grab a flashlight. Definitely do not try to do this while the oven is hot.

2. Pop off the hemispherical glass cap.

No tools needed, the cap is just held in place with pressure from the wire.

Unplugged the stove from wall, pulled out oven racks. Unscrewed 2 screws that attached the burner to the oven. Pulled the two wires off, be careful not to let them go back into or behind the oven wall, then you would need to take the back center panel off and push them back through. But I bent the wire enough when taking them off to make

sure they rested on the inside of the oven wall, got the new burner attached it to the two wires, screwed it back in the oven wall and I was done. Plugged it back in and works beautifully. Whole thing took maybe 15 minutes 30 minutes tops.

After watching the video and ordering the parts and searching for the right size socket (which took most of the time) and finding medical tape as I had no electrical tape I took of the back unhooked the terminals and following the wires to determine which ones needed to be replaced I followed the video instructions on reverse as my son h

ad spliced new terminal blocks into the old wires I taped each new wire to the one it was replacing and pulled it through the back of the stove and into the front attached the new wires to the new block and pushed the clips on the other end of the wires to the knob boxes. I rolled up the excess wire and taped it securely with medical tape so it wouldn't unravel and be in the way when I reattached the back shield on the stove. After I repeated the process for the second terminal (I had two that kept shorting out) I reassembled the stove plugged it back into the wall and used both burners that night to cook dinner! I have had no problems with those burners since then. Really if you watch the video first and follow the instructions you should have no problems. It is really quite simple if someone hasn't tried to repair the problems without replacing the wires. Splicing new blocks into old wires just doesn't work. If I have this problem again, which I hope I don't, I will be confident in my ability to fix the problem myself. Thank you parts select for repair video and the parts.

I ended up having to re-move the back panel on the stove to access one of the wires, so that I could pull the hot wire back through the inside of the oven. The connection to the bake element was then made simple and easy. My time lost was removing the back panel and re-installation. I can not complain about the repair problem. I saved at

least a couple hundred bucks. So that's my story. Thanks for the response in expediting my order of the exact bake element.

It was just a matter of removing 5 screws that attached the broiler coil to oven top. Then carefully removing coil so as not to cause wires attached to fall into the back of the oven. Needed an extra pair of hands to hold coil while i guided the wires back thru the opening. All that was left to do was to secure the broiler coil to oven

. All completed in less then 30 mins. A lot easier then originally thought. And, a lot cheaper then getting a repair person to do the job.

First cut the power at the breaker and then removed the rear panel of the range. Then removed the two retaninig screws in the oven and then unplugged the old element in the back. Cleaned out the molten metal and remains of dinner and installed new element same way the old one came out and voila, oven is back in operation.

I watched a video of a similar model to familiarize myself with the required steps needed. e part I purchased. After replacing the removable socket and lightbulb, the bracket holding the light cover functioned perfectly with the new light socket cup. Final steps were to reconnect the power and ground wires to the removable socket. I then replaced the back cover over the light socket cup area. One word of advise. Be very careful when removing and reconnecting the cables to the removable light socket.

I followed the instructions on the video, the only thing they left out is where the wires go through to the back of the stove being that there are sharp edges. A role of glass tape would have been handy to replace the old tape. Thanks for asking, I hope this helps someone else.
