First I removed the two screws that held the element in place. I then took the plate off the back of the range disconnected the two wires from the element and removed the old element. I then inserted the new element into the oven screwed the nuts back on and hooked the wires on the new element from the back put the plate back up on the ba ck and screwed the nuts back on. It took around 15 minutes to do it all and this was the first time that I have ever done this. It was so easy.

ordered over the phone a new temp sensor. Un plug the oven, take off the back, open oven and unscrew the temp sensor, pull the sensor until the elec connector clip comes through so you can unclip the old sensor, clip on the new then pull the line back and re attach the sensor to the ovn. Plug in the oven.
Pretty simple, just hard t o work inside the oven. I unclipped the sensor line outside the oven to make sure it would come apart first before I was working inside the oven.

couldn't get exact fit--out of production. mounting bracket at back of range for new element too small. took bracket off old element. cut down bracket on new element with tin snips, drilled holes thru it and old bracket and screwed together. at this point the new element was to long & touched oven door. removed spacers that came wit h new element (used old support to attached to roof of oven) and pried elements apart (which made element wider & shorter). working good.

First I removed the five screws that hold the
element in place and pulled the element out
about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires
and hooked a piece of wire on the leads to make sure they did not fall behind the cabinet.
Then I connected the new element to the lead
wires and removed the piece of wire and secured the new element in place with the mounting screws. Took about 25 minutes to remove and replace.

I simply turned the power off and slide the stove forward to give myself room to get behind it and just unscrewed the cover behind the burner switchers and pulled the switch knob off then I removed the two small screws that hold the burner switch to the control panel and go to the back and pull the wires carefully and replace them on the new switch one by one and screw the new switch to the control panel and replace the back panel and done!

Had to move the range out of its little cubby hole in the kitchen so that I could have access to the back of the range. This process probably took the longest. After that it was a piece of cake. Took about 15 minutes to complete the job. So easy, eve a caveman could do it.

I first ordered the wrong part and had to call customer service. They handled the return and ordered the new piece beautifully!! The installation was really simple. Once I took out two screws holding the top down, I removed three clips holding the burner on then switched out the electrical leads. Put everything back and it worked perfect ly!!

Bake element broke into pieces

  • Michael from Findlay, OH
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers
First I removed the screws and popped off the existing element. One of the wires "disappeared" back into the insulation, so I had to remove the back panel of the oven to access that wire and push it back through the opening. Then I attached the new element to the wires and replaced the finishing screws.
