8889 Jenn-Air Cooktop - Instructions

Turn off elec. power at breaker box. Check twice. Removed burner switch cover. caarefull remove wires from switch, note with color to which terminal remove nut on switch replace new switch replace wires to switch, replace cover turn on power. ready.

Fed-Ex delivered the package and within 10 min I had open the package, removed the old knobs and installed the new ones, My wife was very impressed with the ease of the transactionl. It is good to know that we can still get parts for our cook top even though it is 26 years old. Thanks for every thing.

I unplugged the stove. Took out the burner and removed receptacle by pulling it out of the bracket and clipping the wires. One thing you want to make sure is that when you clip the wires from the receptacle you're replacing you leave enough wire so that you can connect them to the wires on the new receptacle when it is in place on the ... The bracket I received didn't match the one on the stove so I used the one on the stove since the receptacle itself was the same as the one I was replacing.

Replaced the element. The part came the next day which was great. Good customer service!

Removed old knobs and installed new. No tools were required.

First I disconnect the breaker. I removed the defected receptacle and cut the wires. I connected the new receptacle with parts with the new part. Turned the breaker back on and everthing worked fine.

Just remove the old ones and replace them with the new ones. no tools necessary.

Removed the old ones and snapped on the new.
It was a snap and what a difference! Even though the cooktop is over 20 years old, it looks new again. Thanks to the knowledgeable support people at Part Select.Com we picked the right knobs the first time.

old filter fell into from removing and cleaning,
removed cover pulled out filter ,replaced it with new one.

I just pulled the electric element out of the slot and dropped the drip pan in place and slipped the electric element back in place and it was ready to go. It looks almost new. I removed the burner elements for three burners by lifting the surface top and unplugging them. I snapped out the plug sockets that were burned out and cut the two wires, one element at a time. Using the included wire nuts I stripped the ends of the cut wire and connected each wire to one of the wires on the new socket. Once the wires ... Read more were connected I snapped the sockets in place and reinstalled the elements, lowered the surface top and the range was ready to use.

Removed 2 screws and i nut. Unplug the old switch and plug in the new switch and presto, back in business. Extremely easy. Part was exactly as pictured. Part arrived within 2 days. Great Co. to buy parts from. Highly recommend Partsselect.

Turn off the power. Remove 2 screws (in the blower compartment) and lift up the control panel. Release the switch by removing the fastnut. Unplug each wire from the old switch and place it in the cooresponding lug on the new switch. Screw everything back together and cook.

It was worth the money for that little screw, since I didn't have to run all over trying to find the right one.
