8335 - Instructions

Wathched the video and it was done in less than 15 min making ice again no problem

Popped off the old gears with a screw driver. Put on the new gears with a screwdriver. Problem fixed in less than 5 minutes.

The adapter made the cord a bit long but other than that it was great!!!

pulled out freezer, went to floor,reached in next to compressor pulled off clip just like on the video.Pulled off old capacitator took off wire leads.Installed new one. Freezer runs great.Loaded it up with beef pork and venison. No problems.

i watched the free video and then made the switch my ice screw had 4 bolts instead of three that was the only difference used the screw driver to loosen the straps on the connection plug and that was it easy as pie in about 30 minutes i heard it drop a load of ice it beats filling ice trays all the time thank you partselect for the free v ... Ice maker was side mount instead of rear mount as shown in previous insructions. Removed one screw and slide ice maker forward. used flat head screw driver to undo the ice maker plug. The ice maker came right out. Removed old ice maker fill cup and put it on the new ice maker. Slide the new ice maker into place and used the same screw to ... Read more secure it. Pluged it in and turned on the ice maker. Had new ice in a couple of hours. It comes with a round plug to square plug adapter, new fill cup and fill tube, all of which I didn't use.

Only needed to remove one screw, slide unit out and disconnect the power cord. Theb reverse the above operation to install the replace ice maker unit. Quick and extremely easy....

Took old part out , put new part in. Was so easy thought we did it wrong. Ice maker working great, have lots of ice now. Thank you. Colleen

took 1 screw out and removed ice maker and slid new one in and replace screw and connected power cord

I watched the videos (they really help) and followed the steps. Everything went smooth with no surprises

Followed the video, very simple

Took out one hex screw, disconnect electric couplings, pulled original ice maker out and found that the water supply line to the ice maker was frozen solid as well as the shute cup. Used hair dryer to thaw out the line and the cup reinstaled old ice maker and it worked fine. Did not have to use the new part at all at this time. Am keeping ... Read more new part for future use.

I should have ordered start kit instead of start capacitor. The start cap astir did not fix problem so I ordered kit. Compasator comes as part of kit. Followed enclosed instructions. Cut existing wires and reconnected new wiring. Simple as that. It's a plug in item. Now worried it may be working to good. Freezer down to 10 deg. Watching ... Read more to see if compressor is running to long. Seems ok lol. Wife hates me now. She wanted new frige.

per the video..easy installation....unfortunately the temperature did not improve. We still have a refrigerator temp in the upper freezer.....and a "cooler" in the refrigerator section
