8084 - Instructions

Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

The repair was just putting the float into the inside of the tank itself and then, inserting the two pins (left and right) into each slot so the float operates up and down freely.

I used a socket set and removed old one and replaced with new one. Easy as 1 2 3. And I'm s 55 yr old female.

The float has two prongs that fit two snap fasteners on the reservoir tank. I just pressed the float prongs into the snap fasterners and inserted the reservoir tank into the dehumidifier. Turned the switch and pressto! We are in business.

Defrosted freezer, hose broke due to dry-rot. Used towels to let water drain into pan. Now with the plug minimal frost build-up. No ice at all. Now if I could get a new hose to drain the water that would be great.

Took the broken one off & replaced it with the new one.

Remove the front cover 2 screws on the bottom. Then removed the clip for the full light, then removed 2 more screws that held the humidistat. Removed the 2 power wires removed part. Reverse the uninstall procedure. Done

Removed cabinet and grill. Humidistat held in by 2 screws and a 3-wire harness. Dehumidifier working like a charm with the new part.

Ordered the Capacitor and the Thermostat Control. Parts were received in a matter of a few days, easy to install, but did not fix the problem. Had to call a repairman to fix the problem (compressor relay - this part not available to order for this model number with Parts Select). First I pulled the top/side cover off. Disconnected the terminals from the old unit, unscrewed the old unit, and put the terminals on the new unit. Then I put the side/top cover back on, screwed the new humidistat unit into the front cover and then popped and screwed the front cover back in place. Customer service was excellent and ... A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy i ... Snapped the float into the slot. That was all there was to do.

Removed the bolts and broken hinge with lid closed. Installed new hinge. Removed the retaining nail from new hinge allowing it to have tension.

Simple fix, the new hinge fit like a glove simple R&R.

First I removed the two control knobs and the two screws that hold the front cover in place and then the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Then I reconnected the new humidistat and put everything back together. Works just fine, now.
