8046 - Instructions

I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).

First, I had to remove a small metal paper clip that somehow ended up in the bottom of the dishwasher, which jammed the spray arm. The spray arm wasn't able to spin around, so it melted onto the heater. I removed the spray arm, and replaced it with the new one.

First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. All I had to do was replace the spring and retainer on the side of the dishwasher which amounted to pulling it out far enough to reach the eyelet that the hook went into and then stretching it to the retainer attached on the other end. First thing I did was to turn off the range supply breaker. There were two screws, one on each side, that held the lower element into place. I used a phillips head screw driver to remove the screws and pulled the element out for access to the wires. I pulled the connectors off of the element and remove it from the oven. simple repair..woke up one morning and after the dishwasher cycled, I noticed the upper spray arm laying on the top tray.
ordered new one from site, was delivered with-in 2 days ( with standard shipping) all 1 piece, took seriously 5 seconds to unscrew by hand and replace!

Removed the back cover of the range. Removed the knob from the front of the switch. Removed 2 screws holding switch to range. Removed wires one at a time and connected to proper poles on replacement switch and reinstalled new switch on range

Repair was quite easy, as long as you have the instructions for removing the door. The screws that hold the bottom of the door to the fixed hinge are placed into the side of the hinge assembly after removal; this holds the door at a 45 degree angle for easy removal. The inner glass is contained in a metal frame with another piece of glass; this frame comes apart easily using the clips in each side. The door assembles easily after the glass is replaced; just take your time and give yourself enough room to lay out the parts as you go. Good luck!

Turned power off at electrical panel. Pulled oven away from wall. Removed back cover (6 screws), then unplugged wires from old receptacle. I had to pull the squeeze clips backwards & break them to remove the old receptacle - couldn't squeeze them enough to remove them otherwise. The old receptacle came out through the inside of the oven, ... Read more and the new one snapped in easily from inside the oven as well. Replaced wiring, installed new bulb, restored power & tested. Replaced back cover. Good time to vacuum under/behind where the oven usually lives before sliding it back to the wall.

Replaced the probe because that's what this site recommended.The oven still does not heat up.

wire and create a new problem. Once the old element was removed I attached the wires to the new element by sliding the terminal connectors on each end and pushed them firmly into place. I then pushed the new element back and replaced the screws on each side and the repair was complete.The repair took all of about 5 min. The best part was I received the the new element from Parts Express the next day and had the oven working within 24 hrs.. The repair service could not do it that fast. Do it yourself, you can save a lot of money!!

My friend bought a used dishwasher at a garage sale, the previous owner had thrown away the drain hose because it was "nasty" they said....remember it could have been cleaned. Pulled out the dishwasher - Located the vent assembly part - unpluged the wiring harness - installed new vent on top of washer plugged in the harness - disconnected the water supply as I had to adjust the rear left leg. Once done I reconnected the water supply and repositioned the dishwasher. WA-LA once installed problem solved.No more wa ... Read more shing by hand.
