8001 - Instructions

Over the stove microwave installed in top cabinet row.
1. Unplug device.
2. Two people to remove from wall/cabinet (remove two, large, top mounting screws and rotate entire microwave down and off the wall mount). Should be some wood spacers between top of device and bottom of cabinet.

4. Remove one screw holding blowers in place and rotate out of the way, in order to gain access to 2 of 5 screws that hold the magnetron in place.
5. Unplug magnetron and remove the 5 screws.
6. Drop in new magnetron and re-assemble microwave in reverse order (steps 5-3).
7. Two people restore micro to wall/cabinet. Replace wood spacers, re-install two, large mounting screws (finger-tight). Test device. Secure the two large screws.

I didn't. Don't know how to get to light bulb to change it for this specific model

Not knowing which of the switches to replace I ordered all three in the assembly. Replacing the full assembly was easy, first unplug the microwave. Then remove the top cover to access the screws that hold the control panel in place and let the control panel hang. There are two screws that hold the assembly in place - remove those. I u ... Read more sed needle nose pliers to pull the wires off of the switches and immediately put the wires on to the new assembly so there was no confusion on what wire went where. Place the assembly back in position, replace the two screws to hold it in, put control panel in place and secure screws. Replace top cover and plug in.

Unplugged the microwave. I opened the door. I used a butter knife to pop the bezel off the inside of the door. I pushed the locker up and to the left and used the butter knife to pry it loose. Disconnected the locker from the spring, and reversed for the installation.

This is a piece of cake. No tools are actually needed. Grasp one end of the old seal and gently pull it out of the groove in which is fits. Take the new seal, and paying attention to which way around it fits (there is a right and wrong way!) start at either end. Leave an inch or so beyond the groove to rest on the bottom of the dishwa ... Read more sher, and press the seal in place in the groove. You should have an inch or so left at the far end. Go back and go all along the seal and make sure it is pressed evenly and completely into the groove the full length.

You're done.

Use a screwdriver flat blade to pry up one edge of closed lid. Put one side of lid into hinge and snapped other side into place. Very easy.

Use screwdriver to gently wedge the side of the dispenser body apart enough to pop out the old kid, then insert the new kid in it's place.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I did a continuity test and determined the old element was bad - ordered the new one and put back the screws. All done!

Read the troubleshooting section on this site. Figured it was an interlock problem because the food was not getting hot (magentron not turning on) and the carousel was not turning. Did not think both the carousel motor and magnetron failed at same time, thus indicated an interlock problem. The interlock switches are actuated by the door ... Read more latch. Replaced the assembly locker piece with all three switches (only a $20 dollar part) and microwave was fully operational again. Wife and kids think I am a hero.

Removed the MW from the wall. Took the top screws off the air vent. Then removed the two screws holding on the display. I then moved the display to its side and it revealed the micro switches. I removed the plug in leads from the micro switch one at a time. I did this with all three micro switches only one at a time. I reinstalled everyth ... Read more ing and plugged it in. No more fans starting when the door is opened.

The part was perfect. The repair video was very helpful, except it did not include the disassembly of the old part. I figured that out, and all went smoothly until the final step. The screw included required not a slot-head screwdriver which everyone has, not a Phillips head screwdriver which everyone has, but a screw requiring a speciali ... Read more zed driver that no one has. WHY? I substituted a normal screw and hope that does not mean the terrorists have won.

Unplug the microwave. Remove the Philips head and safety Torx head screws along the bottom of the sides and rear of the microwave which hold the black cover on. Lift the cover up at the rear and slide it backwards to disengage the tabs on the front top. Remove the cover. Discharge the capacitor by shorting the terminals to each other ... Read more and then ground. Do this with a well insulated object and be aware there may be a pop when you do this. Keep hands, etc. on the insulated part of the object (screwdriver handle, etc). There's a lot of stored energy in that capacitor. I'd advise first checking the diode to make sure its not bad. Replace it if it is. The Magnatron is held in with a couple of screws on the top and sides. Unplug the connector and remove the screws. Remove the Magnatron. Installation is the reverse of removal.

I ordered the wrong part....needed their help to locate the correct part.
Sent 3 emails asking for help to the 'customer service' email ----NEVER heard a word!!!......and now they want me to rate the installation ?!

WORTHLESS...I EMAILED YOU ON 2/7/22 AFTER RECEIVING THE DAMAGED FILTER DUE TO NOT SHIPPING IN A HARD OR SOMETHING IN THE ENVELOPE TO PROTECT THE FILTER FROM BEING BENT.
I HAVE NOT HAD ANY RESPONSE FROM YOU FOR THE DAMAGED FILTER OR WHEN I CAN EXPECT ONE THAT I CAN USE.
