795723 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

The spring broke on the flapper (mullion) on my refrigerator. I sent a chat message to PartsSelect (they answered right away) to see if they had a replacement spring but it was not available so had to order the whole mullion. I just had to remove 2 screws on the center plate on the existing mullion, pull the plate out enough so you will be able to slide the mullion (the wires are under the plate kind of like the ones you see on a ceiling smoke detector) but you can’t get under the plate until you release the mullion. Push up on the mullion so that the plastic tabs on the top and bottom are released. Once the mullion is released (you have to hold it), you’ll see the wires. Unhook the wire part by just pushing down on the little tab and remove it. To install the new one, just reverse the steps. Align the top and bottom plastic tabs to fit into the slots, just enough to hold it in place. If the plastic tabs are not already flipped out, you’ll have to just flip them out. The top tab does not have tension but the bottom tab has tension so just push on it with your finger to flip it out. The plate covering the electrical is a rather tight fit and you have to make sure the little tab on the inside of the plate is above and behind the tab on the inside where the wires are so it slides behind it so you can get it in position before sliding the mullion back down into place and the electrical plate is in place too. Then screw the 2 screws back in. The hardest part is holding the mullion while un-attaching the electrical and just make sure you stuff the wires in enough so you can get the plate back in position. I’m a 75 yr old woman and managed fine by myself. At first when installing the new one, I couldn’t slide the mullion down enough to get the electrical plate in position and then realized I had to have the little tab inside the electrical plate behind the tab inside the wire compartment so they didn’t hit one another when pushing the mullion back down. Then, all went fine.

Pulled the old gasket out.l. Started at the top left corner of the gasket and pushed the Corning in tight and push the gasket in to the other corner down the right side th the corner, across to the left bottom corner and up the right side to the start of the beginning. Very easy installation.

replaced the ice maker with the new assembly kit, the longest time taken was to fit back the pull out door .. had to align the slots correctly and check that it slid back and forth easily.

Remove 2 screws holding to door. Slide assembly up. Unplug connector. Remove old Plate Assembly. Do reverse to reinstall. Plug connector. Push in wires. Slide plate on. Fasten screws. Done

Replaced old hose and installed the new one. Was very simple with the instructions in your email..... step by step, could not of been any similar.... you guys rock

Took old door strip (spring broke) and installed new with spring It went well and was working in less than 5 minutes

Went on line to see how difficult it would be to replace the valve. Through Google there was a video which showed in exact detail how to remove and replace the valve. Then went on line to find the replacement part which was readily available. The only problem was that the connection on the valve where the fill water enters the valve was l ... Read more arger than the old valve. To fix that I went to a local Ace hardware store and found a nut that would fit the valve connection. Also don't forget to use a compression ring to keep the fill line secured when replaced.
Over all it was very simple and was in my "pay grade"

Watched the video. Took the screws out, unplugged the connection and slid mullion off. Then plugged the new one in, slid it on and attached the two screws.

I ordered the needed parts, the correct ones I thought, but when they arrived, I realized they were the wrong parts shipped to me. The reason the wrong parts were shipped to me was because PartsSelect failed to advise me there were none of the parts I needed available so they shipped the left hand basket assembly, door, versus the desire ... Read more d right hand basket assembly, door. I then had to return the wrong parts shipped to me, at my cost of ~$25, and await a refund for the wrong parts originally shipped to me. That's how I did the repair.

The repair was an easy replacement. The problem was the LG part was no longer available from LG or any of the other places I tried. The PartSelect customer service representative was a true professional and did an outstanding job of helping find the correct part (LG's diagram was unreadable) and cross-referenced it to find the the part th ... Remove two screws on top of the fridge; removed old switch and inserted new switch. Worked like a charm. Replace casing and screws.

Unplugged the frig and removed two phillip screws on flapper door of left door... Unplugged the electrical connector and removed flapper...
Picked up new flapper and snapped electrical contractor together... Slid new flapper bar into place and inserted two phillip screws... Job complete in 15 minutes...

I turned off the water supply. Took off the access panel at the bottom of the fridge. Disconnected the waterlines from the valve. Remove the screw hole in the valve in place install the waterlines on the new valve attach the new valve to the refrigerator, reinstalled the back panel turn on the water And it made ice.

Removed old gasket from the door and replaced with new gasket.
