4860 - Instructions

Removed old filter, dropped in new filter. A breeze! What was best of all, is that Parts Select shipped the filter immediately and it arrived within just a day or so! Well done!

The new replacement grease filter came without damage and it was a simple task of removing the old and setting the new in it's place. No tools were required.

I lifted the grill off; took the old grease filter out and threw it away; placed the new filter in the well; put the grill back on. Wallah!!! just like new.

throw the old one in the garbage, drop in the new one. It is about 3/4" narrower than the one that came with the stove but still covers the down vent adequately

took new element out of box, inserted it into stovetop, everything was over in about 2 minutes. It worked just fine.

I have a newer jenn air with the 3 prong elements. The original element was 3 prong 1900W only using one of the controls. Since the stove socket would accommodate 4 prongs I looked up the part for the older stoves (PS2357533)which had 2 elemants using both controls. The element plugged right in and I now have high heat like on my older ... Read more models and it now grills like it should instead of just heating the stuff up. Highly recommended. One caution you will need a metal piece to support the element since the newer stoves do not use the metal bricketts with supports.

Turn off power to cooktop. Lift the broken infinite switch knob off the switch console. Use pliers to remove the hex nut that is under the knob. Then remove the grill over the exhaust vent to expose the two screws that hold the switch console in place. Using a philips head screwdriver, unscrew the two screws and lift the console up as fa ... Read more r as the wiring will let you. Push the two little clips on either side of the electrical component you want to replace, to release it from its harness. Pay attention to the wires of the broken switch and pull one off at a time and attach to the new part. I used a knife to pry the wires off the electrical pins. Once all wires are reattached, clip the component into the harness and attach the hex nut back onto the protruding d-stem. Put all back together and test the switch before turning power back on. If ok, turn power on and test again.

Wrap first three fingers of right around old knob. Pull it off and throw in trash. Take new burner knob and slide it onto the stem. Repeat 3X, that is, once for each remaining burner knob. Time to complete job - 45 seconds. :-D

Simply pull off the old ones and replace with the new ones. Problem was finding the correct knobs with the double "s" shaft fitting.The item number indicated by the model number was incorrect.
