4823 - Instructions

First I unplugged the the stove. I then unscrewed the two screw holding the element. Because I had read the other repair reports on the site, I was very careful in pulling the element out so I wouldn't lose the wires in the rear of the stove.
Once out, I held them with the pliers and gently pulled the element until it was loose. Plug ... Read more ged in the new element screwed it back in and plugged in the oven. Worked like a charm. By the way the part arrived the day after ordering it!!!! This is a great site.

Watched a you tube video and followed the instructions. Even had my 11 and 13 yo old help and do most of the work. Very easy to fix both hot and cold inlet at the same time. Didn't know which one was causing the problem so I decided to replace both.

Followed directions on the video and went like a charm. Very impressed with service and video

Removed existing parts using screwdriver, positioned new parts in dryer and re-inserted screws, tightened - done. Piece of cake, even for someone who cannot saw a straight line with a chop saw.

I bought the whole dryer filter kit, but turns out I only needed the dryer filter and am very happy about that. No tools necessary I just slid it right in. It fit perfectly and I no longer have anxiety about my clothes coming out ripped.

Removed back of washer with screw driver, Removed outer motor cover with a 17 mm socket (1 bolt), Removed motor stater using 10 mm socket (8 bolts). Left motor plugged in and and tipped to the side exposing the sensor. Unplug and snap off sensor. Reassembled in opposite order. Machine works great. Very easy fix, and perfect fit on part.

Followed the videos on line. However instead of buying the $75 spring expansion tool I used two zip ties. One at each end of the spring to create loops for my index fingers to pull the spring apart. Needed a second person to help hold the ring in place at 3&9 position.

I unplugged the dryer and disconnected the vent.
I pulled the dryer away from the wall so I had room to work on it.
Pulled the top cover off (slides back).
Took the door off
Took the front adjustable feet on the bottom off
Unscrewed all of the face screws on the front of the dryer

Gently pulled on the control panel to reveal 4 screws under the control panel to be able to take the front cover off.
Pulled the front cover off (the dryer door front cover).
Pulled the dryer vent cover off (two screws).
I could now see the heating element with sensor/fuse (right side).
Did a continuity test (beep) on all visable sensors/fuses on the heating element. No beep on the thermal fuse (used website diagram to locate parts to test and replacement part numbers).
Got the part after about a week, tested the parted (it beeped), replaced with new part and put dryer back together, plugged in and the dryer heated. Problem solved.

1. Shut off water to refrigerator. 2. Removed bottom sheet metal cover (6 screws). 3. Removed leaking water inlet valve assembly from refrigerator (1 screw). 4. Remove water inlet tube (loosen nut) and tube back to refrigerator (pull from water valve after remove cotter pin washer). 5. Detach two electrical wire harnesses. 6. Install new ... Read more water inlet valve assembly to refrigerator (1 screw). 7. Replace both water tubes to water inlet assembly. 8. Re-attach both wiring harnesses. 9. Turn water to refrigerator on. 10. Check for leaks. 11. Re-attach bottom sheet cover (6 screws).

I watched a You Tube Video. It instructed me to take the top, front, and door off. Not necessary!!! But definitely unplug it as there is a moisture sensor attached inside this housing. Remove current Filter. Remove all screws holding the two key pieces in (Filter Cover and Guide). Disconnect the moisture sensor (mine is white wires connec ... Read more ted to two metal prongs). Remove the Filter Cover and Filter Guide and discard. Get a long vaccum hose and remove all visible lint in the area below where the Filter Guide resides. Replace the Filter Guide and reconnect the moisture sensor, replace the Filter Cover. You may find it easier to snap these two pieces together before installing. Make sure the small plastic guides on the inside of the drum snap in tightly to the tei guide holes, then replace all screws. Note- Part Select does not send screws, so save your screws from the old parts and take note which are longer and go where. Tighten, but do not over tighten. If you were successful, the Filter Cover and Guide should be smooth with the edge of the drum and door. Install your new Filter, plug back in, and enjoy! I can FINALLY dry tank tops, open shoulder, and key hole tops, as well as sheets without my dryer eating them. Only problem is that I wish I had done it sooner. Note, I'm a female with no electrical or appliance repair experience. I did this on my lunch break and surprised my husband when he got home! Easy peasy!

I received the locking device. I received an email from parts select with a repair video link. I watch the video and repeated the steps. Very easy and educational. Thank you for simplifying something I have limited experience doing.

Remove old element by removing two screws on back wall of oven, pull attached wires out about 6" and disconnect. Reverse to install, very easy. Of course the oven door makes it harder to get at things, but it all worked out. Partselect was the only place I could find the element since the stove is 18 years old. Video makes it look easy. Kenmore refrigerator does not have "groove" along the right hand side of switch that allows for pushing down on release. Used a thin screwdriver to get under to push while holding switch edge with pliers. Kept slipping. Tape sides to avoid scratching inside of refrigerator.

I first thought there was a mechanical problem but after checking everything mechanical I discounted that idea ... I researched and found out from others with a similar problem that the Le code display was probably a sensor problem ... I ordered a replacement sensor ... With the new sensor available, I removed the access panel to the back ... Read more of the machine (phillips head screw driver - 4 screws) ... Remove the exposed motor half (1 bolt - 17mm scocket) ... Loosen the motor stator that has the wired coils (10mm socket - 6 bolts) ... Hold motor unit to the side without disconnecting the wiring harness ... Disconnect the sensor wire connector and remove the old sensor ... Clip the new sensor in place (same position as the old one) and re-connect ... Reverse the assembly procedures ... This fixed the problem and the washing machine works like a new one ... The wife is HAPPY!

The repair was straight forward and the video was a big help. I removed the oven racks and then used a 1/4" socket with a nut driver to unscrew the bolts at the back. Since this is a really old oven, the connecting wires were a bit difficult to remove from the bake element connectors. They seems kind of stuck, so I took a small, thin ... Read more screw driver and pried up one of the metal clamps of the connecting wire just enough to let me budge the connector to detach the bake element. Had to do that for both sides. Then I just put the new bake element in, attached the wire connectors, made sure the wires and the ends of the bake element were all the way back in their holes, screwed the screws back in, and then put the racks back in. It was really easy, except for the bit of a challenge getting the wire connectors detached from the old bake element connectors. Works now without catching fire. :-D
