Removed the Ice maker from the freezer because the light was not on. Disassembled ice maker, found printed circuit board had shorted across two posts because the board was black in that area. Bought new ice maker assembly, installed in less than five minutes, making Ice fine.

It was as easy as the instructions were clear (and they were). Remove 2 screws and two nuts, pop out the old ice maker, pop in the new, plug in and tighten screws/bolts. It worked. I'm happy.

The repair was very simple. The longest part was taking everything off the shelf in the refrigerator so that the slide rail could be removed. Then when things were out, it was clear that the bottom of the refrigerator needed cleaning. The repair itself was done quickly. The cleaning (yuck) took longer! this is a great site because th

I removed the lower screw (not needed for the new icemaker), loosened the 2 top screws, unplugged the wire harness and removed the old icemaker. Unpacked the new icemaker assembly from the box, wiped the ice cube depressions to remove any debris, snapped on the water tube adapter, hung the new assembly on the 2 loosened upper screws and t

ightened the screws. The wire harness required the supplied pigtail plug which made the wire assembly long and awkward to replace the ice bucket/dispenser assembly, plugged it in and was done. It took a total of about 10 minutes for the entire operation and had a full bin of ice cubes within 36 hours and was ready for the ice dispenser/crusher in the freezer door. Easy install!

The parts were here the next day. After removing the old ice maker it was a simple installation using the adapter cord furnished. It took about 15 minutes. You have to work with the cord some to get it to fit behind the ice maker, but it does fit. The ice maker started up immediately & works great.

The entire frame that holds the two crisper drawers pulls right out. After that, it's just a matter of unscrewing the broken part, snapping in and screwing the new part and sliding the whole thing back in.

r and then hang the new IM onto the two loosened screws on the refrig wall. Now tighten the two screws. the extra adapter electrical cord hangs below the new IM, but does not get in the way when you reinstall old ice bucket. reload food, turn on elec and water. PS. i had a crack in the casing of the new IM, so i got a new one, but that one was cracked too. so i just installed the second cracked one. hope it is not a problem.

The video on the site was very helpful. The repair was really easy. It was exactly the way the video showed how to do it. I would definitely use this site again to find parts, figure out the "how-to", and use for skematics of appliances. Thanks.

REplaced old icemaker with a new one. Install simple, However that was not the problem. I then replaced the water valve. Still no ice. I check the electric connection was OK. THe problem was the elbow fitting on the top back of the refrigerater leading to the icemaker was blocked with ice.Cleared it and turned water faucet up all the way.
