362610 Kenmore Range - Instructions

My husband and I simply took the burner units out of the packing, took the old ones off, put the new ones in. The new units needed to be leveled, but the leveling nuts included fit perfectly, and the entire repair took less than 15 minutes.

Removed the two screws put the heat shield off the old one onto the new one put new bottom in and tightened two screws. Done #38. 69 Cost of part with shipping cost included.

I turned off the gas flow to the appliance, removed the old oriface spuds with the adjustable wrench, inserted the new oriface spuds and tightened them with the adjustable wrench. The toughest part of the repair was the preparation to remove the old burners. As a result of the burning there was a carbon residue on the burners, on the gas outlet feed to the burners. Read more e burners was easy just had to place the balancing nuts in place and put on the burners. One problem arose the hood of the stove did not go back in place after replacing the burners so I then removed the balancing nuts put back on the burners stove top hood fit back in place and burners operated properly. This part of the repair took five minutes.

Very easy! Open the top of the stove, remove the old double burner and place the new one! Anyone can do it! It's that easy... :)

removed two screws and took out bottom tray and put the new one in and replaced the screws.DId it my self.

ordered parts, 2 double burners, 3 days later they arrived.opened box.
lift stove top, lift out old burner,placed next to new burner to see if they were the same. THEY WERE. place in new burner, checked to see if burner assembly fit correctly. IT DID.
units purchased were exact replacements. supplied spacer nuts not needed.

Lifted the top and dropped in the new burners. Realized they always should have had the leveling washers provided so I took the burners off, dropped on the leveling washers and dropped the burners back on. This all took about 2 minutes. Really made the range top look a lot nicer.

First just unscrew each natural gas jet and install the propane jets. if they are hard to come off just turn your wrench back and forth first until the jet turns with your fingers. Read more te of the oven and slide it back about 1/2 inch then lift out of the oven. Move the 1 screw covering the heat shield from the oven jet. Then light the top burners and turn them off just to get the gas flowing. Also light the pilot in the oven, then light the oven. To convert the oven from natural gas to propane all you have to do is adjust the jet while the oven is lit. turn the oven jet ubtil there is a blue flame with little or no yellow tips on the flames.

I moved to an apartment where the past tenants did not take care of the stove. I think this stove is 10+ years old and looks like it was never cleaned in all of its existance! The burners came in less time than stated. I opened the box, took the burners out, lifted the oven hood and just placed them right where the others were. There are no tools needed it pretty much just gets placed down in the appropriate spot and that's that! No directions or tools needed. My stove looks awesome now!! When you first use the burners, you will probably need to place a match or lighter by the burner to get the fire going. After that, it lights perfectly every time.

Stuck the dial/knob onto the existing stem for oven temp. control. Not exactly rocket science. It was harder to find the part than to install it.

One of the initial two screws for the oven bottom would not budge. Finally used a socket set to loosen it up. Upon taking out the old bottom I turned it over & saw a heat shield attached. I have no idea if you can order a new bottom with a new shield already attached or not, but I had no idea it was there until I took the old part out. Ou ... Removed two screws to remove old bottom. Insert new oven bottom and re-attach screws.

Took it out of the box, lifted the stove lid and replaced the part, no tools required. Very satisfied with the shipping and the part, great service. Thanks!

Simply removed old burners. Placed leveling nuts in place. Replaced new burners in place.
