I was so sick of this drawer and I over heard a buddy telling a story about a website that you can get ANY piece for appliances. I take the drawer out, look up the website (partselect.com) look at the appliance diagram and find the missing piece. Order it, get it, install it. My wife thinks I'm a hero and I think I'm pretty cool too.

Drawer support broke

  • Charles from BOULDER, WY
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Nutdriver
Remove drawer by pulling out and lifting up so drawer will slide out of range. Use 1/4 inch Nutdriver or socket - remove the screw that holds the drawer support to the body of the range. Remove support and install new one with screw Pay attention to the way the support fits. There are two holes one for the screw and the other for the plas tic prong on the bottom of the support. The prong fits in the bottom hole and the screw in the above hole.

Had to replace parts that I broke/bent trying to open warmer drawer.
2 of 2 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Allen from MOODY, AL
  • Difficult
  • 1- 2 hours
  • Screw drivers
Used the old drawer in disassembly as a guide to reassemble new bracket and cover parts. Black drawer cover did not look like old one so I had to weld washers on back side where screw holes were ripped open. Used pliers to bend drawer bottom back in shape where it was bent and assembled. Have to return Black Drawer cover since it looked nothing like old one.

the instructions given for this part were not 100 % accurate, our oven door required multiple, dis assembly and was unable to complete the task, local handy men refused to come to assist since the job was already started, it appears I will now need to buy a new oven , I was disapointed in the help because had we known we had the m ore diffcilult oven, would not have attempted, I did give the correct model and serial number to the person when discussing this part

Burner spontaneously cycled without knob activation
2 of 3 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Anil from Milpitas, CA
  • Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Screw drivers
First I cut the circuit at the breaker, and then pulled the range from wall to access the access panel. This top panel was held with 4 screws and removable with a standard phillips head screwdriver.

I then removed the 5 wire-crimped fasteners from the defective surface burner switch. (I first labeled these wires to ensure cor rect placement to the new switch). There were an additional two screws behind the corresponding knob that needed to be removed in order to completely remove the old switch.

The new switch was installed in reverse order to the steps indicated above (two screws behind knob, 5 wire-crimped fasteners, 4 screws to panel). Range was pushed back into position and breaker turned on.
