Top agitator would not agitate
The repair was very simple. I removed the agitator cap with a small screw driver, removed the retainer screw with a socket set tool. I removed the top agitator, lifted the cam and removed the old worn directional cogs installed the new ones. I reassembled the agitator. All of 10 minutes.... Very easy

Replaced cogs in agitator
Fabric softener dispenser simply lifts off the top of the agitator. Then, a flat head screwdriver, tucked anywhere under the edge of the cap, lifts/pries it off. Then drop a 1/2" drive extension(no socket as it simply is the extension itself) into the plastic "nut" and remove it while holding onto bottom of agitator with your other hand. Lift it out, replace the cogs and reverse for reassembly. Total time less than 5 minutes, including shipping was $10.50 for cogs - repair #4 completed thanks to the fine folks at PartSelect! PS - part arrived at my door less than 24 hrs after ordering it even tho I requested 2-3 day shipping.

Top part of agitator not working
I used a nut driver to remove the screw that held the to part of the agitator onto the bottom part. I then took out the worn out directional cogs and replaced them with new ones and re-assembled the agitator and was back in business. The agitator now works the way it should. Easy fix. The only negative part of this experience was that the shipping was twice as expensive as what the parts cost. Very fast shipping from PARTS SELECT .

The top agitator wasn't turning.
I found the Agitator "dogs" (really that's their name) to be stripped. Ordered the part and got it within two days. It was a very easy fix and the old washer works great now.

Broken agitator dogs
Pop the cap on the agitator with a screwdriver then take out the bolt underneath. Replace the agitator dogs.
When putting the bolt back, don't tighten like its going to jump out of the washer. I think that's why I had to replace it a second time

Top Of Agitator Was Not Engaging
1St I took the top cap from the agitator, I then removed the middle cap. I then removed the 7/16th bolt from the middle of the agitator and removed the agitator. I took the old broken parts out and replaced them with the new parts. I then put everything back together in the reverse order tried the washing out and it works great. Actually I just followed the instructions, which took 20 minutes, and everything was kopacetic.

My Machine Wasn't Agitating... Which Was Agitating Me!
It was really easy. I popped off the agitation cone cover, used a socket set to remove the bolt which holds it all together. I removed the broken part, assembled the new one, using the old one as a example. I installed the new one. . . And I have clean clothes again. So much better to fix the old machine then buy a new one. . .

Top of Agitator would not rotate
1. Lift the softener dispenser up and out
2. Lift up the plastic cap underneath
3. See bolt...use ratchet with extension to loosen and remove bolt
4. Remove whole agitator by simply lifting it up
5. Place agitator on floor and separate top from bottom agitator by simply pulling apart
6. See 4 plastic cogs that spin the agitator. Like mine they are probably completely worn/stripped.
7. Replace old 4-cog set with a new 4-cog set. They are small and inexpensive parts! I did this and our machine is working just great!
This also gave me a chance to clean the agitator thoroughly!

Agitator would not agitate properly
I also ordered a new agitator repair kit which had almost everything. I noticed that I the kit had shorted 3 of the 4 cogs. Once the missing parts were received I removed the agitator bolt from the middle of the agitiator with a rachet and socket. Amazingly, I read the instructions and followed them accordingly. I pulled removed the agitator and removed the dogs/cogs and placed the new one in the new dogs *Making "dog gone" (pun intended) sure they were facing the correct way, by comparing them to the instructions. I carefully seated them as per the illustrations on the instructions and replaced the center bolt in. placed the cap on top and started the washer. Then I had my cup of coffee. By the way..I'm a grandmother, so if I can do it.............!
