107R Range - Instructions

I logged into GE's website, put in my stovetop's requirements for size and type of trim rings, and was taken to partselect's site where I found what I needed. I ordered it and it came in less than a week!

just replaced the old for the new

Turn the power of to the stove used a 5/16 socked and unscrewed the element from the stove. Used the socket to remove the wires from the element. Installation was easy make sure you hold the end of the elements where the wires attach so they do not bend when tightening. Everything is working and back to normal. Make sure you use the model ... disconnected power
remove oven racks and oven bake shields
removed two bolts from end bracket plate on element
carefully pull bake element partly out until the electrical wires are visible, remove two small screws, remember the side of element each wire
attaches, red is power black is ground.
, replaced new ... Read more element in reverse order, reattach wires to element and snug tighten , not over tighten. Element worked
like new.

Quite simple, just plug-in the new one

it was hard to figure out the instructions from A switch to B switch to my switch. The first switch was no good the second one was good. prayer book didn't hurt.thank

Replaced the old with the new following directions (mostly).

The old burner was disconnected by unscrewing the wire connectors. The new burner was installed by reconnecting the same wire connectors although the white and red connectors had to be swapped to make the inner element go on when #2 or med switch is chosen.

Good directions

The old eye was lifted up, hinge screw removed, and three screws removed from the eye that connected lines to it. Did just opposite for installation. Very easy. The hardest problem was finding an eye with three screw-type connections.

Shut power to unit. Tilted burner element back, then removed pan screw,with nut driver which holds rear hinge in place. Next step was to remove clips that hold porcelain cover that covers the wires.Used nut driver to remove the three the wires. Installed new unit in the reversed order. Just unpluged the old one and detached the wires. put the new one in and used a socket wrench to rewire it. . Very easy and was shipped in perfect condition and easy to replace. Very pleased.It fit perfect and oven works just fine. Thank you so much for the service which was very speedy. It was packed to perfection.

I stripped one wire on the first burner. Then I realized that the terminals were the ones that could be left. Finding a replacement terminal has proved to be difficult. Once I realized my mistake I could change the other three burners very easily.

Used a putty knife and dental pick to remove old gasket remnants and installed new gasket with putty knife and thumb pressure
