1069400080 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Disconnect power. Remove back panel on the refrigerator. Relay and overload is a modular unit attached to the compressor. Disconnect module from compressor, install new unit. While you're in there clean the condenser coils with a vacuum and clean the fan and condensate pan. Reassemble, and you're chillin. Total time approx. 15 min.

Used the suggested problem list here to narrow down that the repair was most likely the run capacitor. Poped the new one in and I now have better control of my compartment ranges. I have a temperature gauge in each compartment. Check them every opening of the doors.

Removed the access panel on back of unit located the Run Capacitor on the compressor and removed the bad one and put the new one on and pugged refrigerator back in and it started up and works fine now

I followed the directions given in the video.

only the front right stud was broken with very little left attached to hold and remove. After a long twist and pull , got it out and placed the new one....

The Defrost Timer is located in Refrigerator section (not the freezer) where your temperture guages are. Move panel and replace the non working Defrost Timer with the new one. Important: Do not twist broken stud to remove if possible, just pull with the pliers straight out. I twisted it and made the hole larger. Even so, I just used Gorilla Epoxy glue to secure the new one (follow directions on the package) and it's fixed. It's been a couple days and still looks secure. Thanks for the quick delivery.

Just followed the Video I found on your site. Seems to work good now, took awhile to get temp setting correct (had to set it a little colder about half way between the "b" and "c" setting).

I think my habit of getting ice cubes from the inside container rather than from the ice cube dispenser, had kep t the freezer door open too much, interfering with the normal defrost cycle and allowing ice to build up over time so that it finally defeated the system. My new rule, "get ice cubes only from the front."

Repair video was excellent but thermostat unit was slightly different then original. Fortunately guessed right regarding connections. Also very difficult to place the insulating plastic on wiring. I did a little homework and decided that it had to be one of two parts. I purchased both parts and installed them. The tricky part was gaining access to the components. I did find the parts later at another site a little less expensive but not with the support provided here. And delivery was fast. Repair cost was less than 100.00 so I am not complaining. Thanks !!

Removed broken clip and installed new one . The best thing was i ordered my part on Tuesday before Christmas . When i got home Wednesday my part was already there . I was Impressed .
