replaced ice maker with recommended add on kit. easy to replace exact replacement. used this company for washing machine part. parts correct both times.

Basicly i bought this kit because I didnt know what part I needed. Our refer already had a icemaker. I pluged in the new ice maker and screwed it into the freezer in the exsisting holes. Presto a full box of ice in 48 hours.

bulbs were not burnt out. received the new switch in a few days. watch the short video, was good to see how it comes out. used a putty knife to release the defective switch, removed wires put them on the new one and posed the new switch back in. Removed the two screws holding the funnel in place...removed the old one and replaced it witht he new tubing...screwed screws back in and the jov was complete. It actually took longer to get it out of the sack than it did to put it together

Simply removed the old and replaced with the new part.

I unscrewed the fill tube screws from the back of the fridge, and pulled the tube out.

Then I put the new tube in, screwed the screws back in and reconnected the waterline.

Had to remove both doors freezer and fresh section. Once I had door off removed the screws, and old gasket, cleaned all aroud where old gasket was, and proceeded to put new gasket on, It was hard lining up gasket with metal rods that hold gasket on could only do one screw at a time, because gasket kept slipping out, it was very time consu ... The repair was easy. The amazing story was that I ordered the part around 12:00 noon on Friday December 21st and it arrived by USPS mail the next day Saturday December 22, right in the heat of the Christmas rush.

Because of the age of the unit, I replaced all but the wire harness. It was easy to repalce.

After finding water on the floor I investigated to find the leak. I Found theat the Icemaker fill tube on the back of the frig was cracked(due to someone pushing the frig back against the wall). Turned off the water supply to the icemaker. Removed the 2 screws holding the tube in place. Slid the tube out and slid the new one in. Replaced ... Read more the screws and turned the water back on. I noticed that the refrigerator was having trouble maintaining temperature. Thought it might be time for new one until I found out that a new frig was $5k to $7K. A very cold and brittle switch in a 17 year old fridge. Used screwdrivers to pry out with some resistance Had to cut the molded plug in half and split wires, because replacement contacts were farther apart than the original. End result, works great.
