Popular Magic Chef Washer Hoses and Tubes
This part is the replacement water inlet hose for your washer. It is black in color, made of plastic, and is approximately 19 inches long. The water inlet hose connects the water inlet valve to the water fill nozzle. Over time the hose can become cracked and damaged, and this can cause it to leak. A damaged hose will need to be replaced. Be sure to disconnect the water supply to the washer before you begin this repair. You should also determine if any of the other parts that transport water into the washer are leaking, and if they need to be repaired as well. This part is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part.

Cold water flowed slowly
First, be sure to take the washer apart properly! The first time I fixed my washer I took it apart the hard way to change the clutch, and believe me it took longer to put it back together!
This time I was replacing both the water inlet valve and the hose leading to the disperser.
First remove the two screws holding down the con ... Read more trol panel. It then flips back and hangs out of the way behind the washer. Then remove the spring-clip holding the rear plate to the body of the washer, one on each side under the control panel.
Next you need to remove the screws holding the body down to the base at the rear of the machine.
I then tipped the body of the washer forward and let it rest on a bucket so I didn't have to take it completely off. Then it is easy to access the hose and the water inlet valve. Shut off the water and remove the supply hoses to the washer. Remove the two screws holding the water inlet valve to the rear of the washer using a nut driver. Next remove the wires to teh inlet valve, making sure to note which one is cold and hot, and which orientation they are. Mine was yellow on top and brown on bottom. Next remove the springs clamps holding the hose on. Replace the hose re-using the same clamps. Replace the water inlet valve reverse the process to re-assemble the washer. Tilt the body back on, put the screws in the base, clamp the back to the body, flip the contorl panel back over and insert the screws. Reattach the water supply lines and you are done!

The water intake hose had a hole and was leaking. I think a rat chewed it.

I bought a used washer from a friend and they had cut the drain hose short .
I got a pair of channel lock pliers and took off clamp on the hose, after laying wash machine on it's side, poped off a few little clips and replaced the hose, and now everything works perfect.
This hose can handle hot or cold water and is five feet long.

I noticed water on the floor , so I looked under the wash machine while it was running and noticed water dripping form the bottom.
I brought the wash machine out side, hooked a garden hose to the cold, capped the hot, took off 2ft. square back inspection cover, and plugged in the power cord for a test for leakage location. t the repair was about 45 mins. with coffee. I laid unit on side, cleaned pulleys with rag to remove old belt fragments, and I put new belt on the 2 small pulleys then rolling onto last bigger pulley. For the hose repair- I used a screwdriver to push in the clips under front of top lid. I removed 2 screws with my 1/4 rachet to remove front panel. With my channel locks I pulled off hose , then installed new hose. The unit works great.

ifferent configuration but I figured it out. Replacing the parts was simple, take one off, put the other on. Putting the washer front back on was a little tricky, I had to have my daughter help me hold it in place while I wiggled it around to make sure it was just right before I screwed it back together. Water would overflow from the top of the machine
The repair was very easy. Remove a few screws, switch wiring one at a time so I put them in the correct position and replace. The hose replacement was easy at the swicth but a little more difficult at the lower end of the tub due to limited space. Overall an easy job and now it works fine!
