The part was exactly what we needed for our Kenmore 400 series washer. It was easy to replace and fit perfectly like the old one.

The new hose seems to be even heavier duty than the original. Turn the machine on its face, squeeze the ears on the white plastic guide to remove, squeeze the securing clip studs with pliers to free them from the frame, and remove the spring clip holding the old hose to the pump, and pull the old hose out. Save the spring clip, you will need to reuse it. Thread the new hose in (I worked from the bottom up). Seat the plastic guide in the cutout on the back of the machine, put the spring clip on the new hose and secure to the pump outlet. insert the two securing clips into their respective holes in the frame. It took longer to write this than to do it.

This is the second time we have used PartSelect. Really fast shipping. We had to do a bit of modification of the drain hose for our older Maytag Cenntenial washer, but it is now running like a champ again. Thank you!
