PartSelect Number PS11750349
Manufacturer Part Number WPW10206112
The pilot stays lit all the time and, when the oven is turned on, the flame gets bigger and surrounds the thermocouple. When the thermocouple senses the required heat, the safety valve opens to let the gas flow to the oven burner tube where the pilot flame ignites the gas.
Fixes these symptoms
  • Gas igniter glows, but will not light
  • Little to no heat when baking

Pilot Light Won't Stay Lit
First I removed the oven door by pulling straight up off of the hinges in the open postion. Next remove oven racks, then use 1/4 nutdriver to remove back screws on inside oven bottom plate. Next remove gold nut on silver tube @ pilot connection, then remove 1/4 nuts that hold pilot assembly. Next open top of stove and remove small gold nut "with the thin wire from pilot"attached to the back left of oven control knob. Snake that nut and wire from the top of the stove down to the oven and removethe whole pilot assembly. To install carefully unroll the new pilot assembly starting from the oven "there are two round holes you need to snake the tube into"and up behind the back & into the stove top. Make your connection@ the oven assembly. Next attach the assembly with the 1/4 screws that you removed, then make your connection"gold screw silver tube" now push in your oven control knob to alllow gas to flow to the pilot tube and check for leaks with a water @ soap solution. No bubbles no leaks. Light your pilot . . . . You must hold in the oven knob. Put back in oven plate,,,, 1/4 screws,,,,racks close the stove top ,put door back on hinges and your done. . . . . Hope I helped,. . Pete Read more...

This part is a solenoid-operated switch located at the bottom of the refrigerator. When the water inlet valve is turned on, water is released from the supply line through the water valve and into the compact icemaker mold. The kit includes the mounting hardware and bracket plastic tubing fittings. The retaining nut must be cut off the plastic water line and gently pushed into the new valve. To remove, press down on the ring that the tube slides into. Refer to the installation instructions for further guidance. Please note: the manufacturer has redesigned this part and it can appear different than the original. It has a new quick connection.

no water getting to ice maker
The ice maker had been slowly dying and one day just stopped making ice. No water was getting to the trays.

I read that this could be caused by a failure of the valve, even though the continuity test indicated that the solenoid was okay.

I ordered the part Friday afternoon. It was delivered Saturday. I did the repair in 10 minutes.

I pulled the fridge away from the wall.

I unplugged the fridge. I closed the water supply valve.

I unscrewed the two mounting screws using a flat head screwdriver.

I pulled the old valve out from refrigerator.

Using an adjustable wrench I detached the water supply from the valve. I detached the hose leading to the ice maker from the valve.

I pulled the electrical connectors from the connectors on the valve.

I attached the hoses to the new valve, attached the electrical connector, screwed the new valve in its place, opened the water supply, plugged the fridge back in, checked for leaks, and waited for a few hours.

My ice maker is working better than it has in at least two years.

PartSelect Number PS17629126
Manufacturer Part Number W11699791
This electronic burner box forms the main housing that supports and holds the surface heating elements under an electric cooktop. It keeps the elements stable, level, and properly aligned so they heat evenly during cooking. This replacement is useful when the original housing becomes bent, corroded, or damaged, or when elements begin to sag, rattle, or sit unevenly. Measuring roughly 25 inches by 34 inches by 3 inches, it is designed to match the original fit, and installation typically involves removing the cooktop surface and transferring the elements into the new box to restore solid, reliable support.

Oven would not maintain temperature and LR burner would not turn on
Oven temperature sensor was very easy to replace - just need a Philips screw driver.
Gas manifold valve for burner was a little awkward but not hard to do - I used pliers to undo because I didn't have a wrench to fit. It all went fine.

Broken front burner gas lines
The biggest challenge with the repair was propping up stove top. This range doesn't have a prop arm, and the burner assemblies are attached by screws to stovetop. DIY'ers take note: take a minute to learn how your stove is designed before attempting to clean it by lifting the stovetop too high and breaking the front burner gas lines like I did on mine. Fortunately the new burner assemblies fit perfectly with no gas leaks, and the stove is working good as new. Thanks PartSelect! Read more...
