Broken Dryer Knob
First let me just say that Partselect.com is now one my stored favorites in my web browser. I came home from a business trip and saw a pair of pliers on the dryer. I thought that was odd until my wife informed me that the knob on the dryer had broken. So she was using the pliers to select the cycle. Somehow she knew where the missing pointer was actually pointing. Since the dryer was over 5 years old I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade both appliances. Not with my frugal wife. A search of the Internet popped up partselect. I ordered Wednesday morning and the parts where on my doorstep late Thursday. Trust me I was very surprised. Everything worked perfectly. Two thumbs up!!!

KitchenAid Trash Compactor Screw - 8-18 X 1/2
I had to unplug an electronic tape from the inside of the beige control panel and plug the same tape back into the black control panel. I also had to remove the beige handle that was on the inside of the control panel, attached to the door, and replace it with the new black one I'd received. I then installed the black control panel and reattached it with screws and finished replacing the rest of the screws I had removed from the inside of the door.
I tested the handle to make sure it opened the door and locked it like it should and then went outside and turned the breaker back on. Came in and turned on the dishwasher and did a load of dishes. It looks awesome, matches the rest of my black appliances and I am very proud to have done it myself. I also wanted to thank the customer service lady who was so great to work with on the phone. Wanted to change beige dishwasher front to black.
First , I went outside and turned the breaker for the dishwasher off. Next,I removed the screws that held the bottom 2 pieces, that rest on the floo,r in place. Then removed the two beige metal pcs. . Next I replaced them with the 2 black pieces I had ordered and secured them with the 2 black screws I had received as part of my order. Then I removed the scews from the inside of the door of my KitchenAid Dishwasher. This released both the front bottom panel and the control panel. . I took the beige bottom door panel off and moved the insulation piece from the back of thebeige panel to the back of the black panel. Then I intalled the new black panel I ordered and resecured it with two screws until I had finished with the control panel switch out.I had to unplug an electronic tape from the inside of the beige control panel and plug the same tape back into the black control panel. lower left shelf support was broken
I removed all contents from the lower shelf. I, then removed both of the pull out drawers. Secondly, I removed the lower glass shelf and the glass support tray. At this point all four plastic shelf supports were accessible. I removed the inner screw from all four supports and replaced with four new shelf supports. Then reassembled in reverse order. Very easy to do!

The burner unit slides out easily and after unscrewing the sides, you have to disconnect the wires from the underside of the igniters. The venturi tubes and igniters then unscrew from the underside of the burners which twist right out of the assembly. Re-Assembly is very intuitive looking at it and it all goes right back together as it came out. Took 45 minutes total and that includes fighting with some screws that had rusted onto the burner.
Reading some of the previous reviews, current prices are double to triple what other people did the repair for leading me to believe parts won't be available for much longer. Make the repair while you still can! Read more...

Flames appeared outside of burners
The front burner had a noticible flame coming from the base, so I originally purchased a single burner to replace it (you could see a corroded hole at the bottom). Upon taking the unit apart, I noticed the corrosion was much worse than met the eye. locking nut was stripped
After calling a repair man and being told my appliance was to old for him to repair I discovered your website. I simply entered the model number and a picture of the part I was looking for was easily found. I ordered online and received the replacement parts 5 day's later. I simply swapped out the old locking nuts with the new ones from your website and the repair was complete. What could have been an easy $100 repair cost a fraction of that and the trash compactor is working just fine.
