This is the drive gear kit for the ram that compacts the trash inside your compactor. If your compactor ram is getting stuck, there is excess noise during its cycle, or if your compactor does not stop at the end of its cycle, the driving gear may be the issue. The gear is white, plastic and approximately 4.5 inches in diameter. This drive gear kit includes both gears, pin spring, retaining clip (c-ring), ram stop, ram cam, and instructions. Make sure to disconnect the power to your trash compactor before beginning the repair.

Compactor stuck in lower position

Moved the compactor out from under cabinet and unplugged the powercable.Laid compactor over on its side Removed the top (4 screws) and base plate (3 screws) as well as the coverplate for the motor(3 screws)Found that large drive was broken in half. Used two screwdrivers to start split ring then pliers to pull it off the rest of the way.
Removed the drive gear and the washer.
Used a nail to drive out the pin for the smaller drive gear kit. Removed and replaced with new, used new pin to lock it on to the shaft. Changed out the bearings and washers on one powerscrew, put chain back on. Then was then a simple matter to put the new gear back on the chain then slide the whole thing back on the drive shaft. Replace the washer then slip the split ring back in place and seat it home with the pliers. Greased chain, gear drive and powerscrew. Put all covers back on with the screws. Pushed button it worked. Broken Dryer Knob

First let me just say that Partselect.com is now one my stored favorites in my web browser. I came home from a business trip and saw a pair of pliers on the dryer. I thought that was odd until my wife informed me that the knob on the dryer had broken. So she was using the pliers to select the cycle. Somehow she knew where the missing pointer was actually pointing. Since the dryer was over 5 years old I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade both appliances. Not with my frugal wife. A search of the Internet popped up partselect. I ordered Wednesday morning and the parts where on my doorstep late Thursday. Trust me I was very surprised. Everything worked perfectly. Wanted to change beige dishwasher front to black.

First , I went outside and turned the breaker for the dishwasher off. Next,I removed the screws that held the bottom 2 pieces, that rest on the floo,r in place. Then removed the two beige metal pcs. . Next I replaced them with the 2 black pieces I had ordered and secured them with the 2 black screws I had received as part of my order. Then I removed the scews from the inside of the door of my KitchenAid Dishwasher. This released both the front bottom panel and the control panel. . I took the beige bottom door panel off and moved the insulation piece from the back of thebeige panel to the back of the black panel. Then I intalled the new black panel I ordered and resecured it with two screws until I had finished with the control panel switch out.
I had to unplug an electronic tape from the inside of the beige control panel and plug the same tape back into the black control panel. I also had to remove the beige handle that was on the inside of the control panel, attached to the door, and replace it with the new black one I'd received. I then installed the black control panel and reattached it with screws and finished replacing the rest of the screws I had removed from the inside of the door.
I tested the handle to make sure it opened the door and locked it like it should and then went outside and turned the breaker back on. Came in and turned on the dishwasher and did a load of dishes. It looks awesome, matches the rest of my black appliances and I am very proud to have done it myself. I also wanted to thank the customer service lady who was so great to work with on the phone. lower left shelf support was broken

I removed all contents from the lower shelf. I, then removed both of the pull out drawers. Secondly, I removed the lower glass shelf and the glass support tray. At this point all four plastic shelf supports were accessible. I removed the inner screw from all four supports and replaced with four new shelf supports. Then reassembled in reverse order. Dryer was sqeaking loudly when running

I Looked on internet sites for this type of problem.
Most sites said the support rollers could cause this.
I found your site PartSelect and with help of your diagrams of the machine ordered the parts I thought were needed plus other parts that might cause the problem.
With machine torn down I replaced the rollers.
I had also ordered the main drive belt and idler assembly with the rollers and these also needed replacement. It is a good idea to order other suspect parts when doing this type of repair since you can return the parts not needed.
