Broken carafe...seems to be a very common problem
Purchased a replacement carafe for Kitchen Aid model KCM1402. Was a bit skeptical as to whether this carafe would fit. It was a perfect fit, and I am a very happy customer. I can now use my $120 kitchen aid coffee maker again. This carafe will also fit kcm222 kcm223. I would highly recommend that you order your parts from this site

Filter basket lift handle broken.
The part was ready to use. Simply place filter and fresh coffee in basket, and place in coffee maker. Put water in fresh water tank, and select "brew". Works great.
