Broken Dryer Knob
First let me just say that Partselect.com is now one my stored favorites in my web browser. I came home from a business trip and saw a pair of pliers on the dryer. I thought that was odd until my wife informed me that the knob on the dryer had broken. So she was using the pliers to select the cycle. Somehow she knew where the missing pointer was actually pointing. Since the dryer was over 5 years old I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade both appliances. Not with my frugal wife. A search of the Internet popped up partselect. I ordered Wednesday morning and the parts where on my doorstep late Thursday. Trust me I was very surprised. Everything worked perfectly. Two thumbs up!!!

Jenn-Air Microwave Hardware Kit
PartSelect Number PS11730898
Manufacturer Part Number W10821385
This is a manufacturer-approved mounting kit for your microwave. This kit is crucial for keeping your microwave securely wall-mounted. This kit does not include the mounting plate itself. This kit comes in handy if you buy your microwave separately from the mounting kit.

Demo stove exhaust fan and tile backsplash, install over range microwave, rotate exhaust fan and adjust exhaust plenum.
Whirlpool Microwave was purchased as used item, so installation in a new location required purchase of mounting template, wall bracket, mounting hardware. Granite backsplash cut out using wet/dry diamond blade and Ryobi 6.5 inch saw. Microwave exhaust fan removed and rotated for upward exhaust using modified exhaust plenum from existing stove exhaust hood. Installation of Microwave was the simplest part of the job. All mounting materials worked as required. A list of the materials provided in the hardware mount kit would be helpful, I would not have had to order the top mount screws separately if it was clear that they were included in the kit. Otherwise, no complaints.

Broken front glass
Very easy. Take the two top screws out and the two bottom holders off. The bottom holders hold the glass up in place. Grab the handle and pull glass out. To install put handles screws back on the glass and slide in place. Once in place install the bottom holders pieces back on. *** I would buy screws because after years of use the head rust out and sometimes they are hard to get off... all in all very easy to install

Jenn-Air Microwave Screw
First step was to determine whether the screws were metric or US standard - they are metric. The next step was to remove the top hinge in order to remove the door and replace the bottom cams and brackets. This took a couple of minutes, replacing the cams was about 5 minutes and putting the door back on the pivot and reattaching the top hinge was another couple of minutes.
If I had called a service tech they would have charged a minimum of two hour and for the parts. I estimate that I saved myself about $100. Read more...

The refrigerator door was difficult to maintain closed
Because the lower cams are made out of hard plastic the repeated opening and closing of the door wore them out. The hardest part was taking all of the food that is normally stored in the door.First step was to determine whether the screws were metric or US standard - they are metric. Jenn-Air Microwave Appliance Screw
The burner unit slides out easily and after unscrewing the sides, you have to disconnect the wires from the underside of the igniters. The venturi tubes and igniters then unscrew from the underside of the burners which twist right out of the assembly. Re-Assembly is very intuitive looking at it and it all goes right back together as it came out. Took 45 minutes total and that includes fighting with some screws that had rusted onto the burner.
Reading some of the previous reviews, current prices are double to triple what other people did the repair for leading me to believe parts won't be available for much longer. Make the repair while you still can! Read more...

Flames appeared outside of burners
The front burner had a noticible flame coming from the base, so I originally purchased a single burner to replace it (you could see a corroded hole at the bottom). Upon taking the unit apart, I noticed the corrosion was much worse than met the eye. Given the age of the unit and that some parts were already becoming discontinued I decided to gut the whole thing and replace it all.The burner unit slides out easily and after unscrewing the sides, you have to disconnect the wires from the underside of the igniters. Microwave Door Exterior panel was cracked and the handle was broken
I disassembled the door by removing three screws from the side opposite the hinges and pried (lifted) that edge up and rotated the panel away from the metal portion of the door towards the hinges. I assembled the new door panel by attaching the handle (2 screws). I attached the new door panel by starting at the hinge side of the door and working towards the opposite end of the door. The last little bit was tough to get it to snap over the metal sub-door. I reinstalled the 3 screws to snug, not tight because I did not want to crack the plastic.
