This part is a door balance link kit, also sometimes known as door cable or door spring cable kit, that helps support the door as it opens and closes by connecting to the dishwasher door hinges. The kit includes two door balance links and two door balance mounts with wheels, which will replace both the left and right sides. The only tool needed is a 5/16 nut driver. Before removing the existing kit, take note of how the door balance link kit is assembled for a smooth replacement process. It is recommended to check the door springs in case they need to be replaced as well.

Replaced Hinge Link
Pulled dishwasher from under counter, attached link to spring, hooked spring back into frame/chassis, threaded link through pulleys, attached other end of link onto door, reinstalled dishwasher under counter. All's well. Note-I purchased an extra link anticipating that the other one will fail. They're cheap enough.

Dishwasher door became heavy and would fall to the floor if you didn't hold it up.
Removed mounting screws from sides of disher. Removed broken piece of connector assy still attached to hinge. Attached new connector assy to hinge then looped it around pulley with spring attached to opposite end. Need both hands to pull spring up to side of tub and connect it. Door will fall down after opening
unscrewed dishwasher from cabinet ...,moved out slightly....while door closed ...reached with long nosed pliers door spring pulled forward...and allowing white plastic part that fits through sleeve and fit new sleeve over it...pulled spring attaching white plastic part and pushed unit back to cabinet and replaced screws DONE.

First I had to unscrew screws under the counter then pulled built in dishwasher out from under the counter, attached hing arm link to right side bracket on door, and the other end I attatched to a spring at the back of the unit. Detached the dishwasher from the cabinet. Slid it out. Removed small guide wheel that the cable went through. Removed the old broken cable. Replaced with new cable. Replaced the guide wheel. first i removed the 2 holding screws fron the underside of the counter then oulled the dishwasher out about a foot. i then removed the side panel that hold the front plate in plase on the right, below this were the screws that held the door hinge assembly on the right. i then proceeded to remove those bolts. and replaced with the new on

First went to U Tube to view installation instructions and location of part. It was fairly easy to replace since I had installed the unit. I was able to move the unit out enough without disconnecting any line since there was enough slack in all three connections, only shut the power off. crews holding the hinges to the frame/axle. Replaced hinges with new ones .Put screws back in frame/axle . Put 4 nut and bolts back to secure door to hinges . Then i reinstalled under counter put new wheels on lower rack . I then filled it with dishes and ran a long cycle checked for leaks THEIR WERE NONE!!! THANK GOD !! broken door springs
I pulled the unit from under the counter. the springs and cables are on the front sides of the dishwasher. I moved the insulation removed the broken spring and cables and replaced them with the new parts. just one side was broken, but I replaced both while I had the unit out.
