This cover is designed for use with trimmers and edgers and is a genuine OEM part. Made of plastic, this cover is used to hold and secure the spool or line within the trimmer cutter head assembly. If the cover for your trimmer is broken or damaged and cannot contain the spool or line, the cover needs to be replaced immediately. To replace the cover, push in the upper slots on the cover, which will disconnect and release it from the rest of the assembly.

Trimmer Bump Cap This is a genuine part which is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer and is used with Craftsman hedge trimmers. The cap holds in the spool and bumper to the spool housing. This part is made of durable plastic and is sold individually. There are no tools required for installation, simply push the two tabs on the side of the cap and snap it into the housing. It is the same process to remove the old one.

To attach the Guard follow simple steps. • Turn the trimmer upside down so that you are looking down at the spool cap. • Turn the guard upside down and slide it onto the motor housing. Make sure the tabs on the guard engage the ribs on the motor housing. • Continue to slide the guard on until you hear it "snap" into place. • Using a Phillips Screwdriver, insert the guard screw to complete the guard assembly.
