If a trimmer head feels loose or the cutting line stays inside, the slider assembly may be worn. This small piece sits near the spool and helps the line-feed system work. Similar trouble can come from tangled line, a damaged spool, a weak spring, or a cracked cover. Check these items before ordering a new slider. Use the complete tool model number to confirm the correct fit. Remove the battery and wait for the head to stop moving before opening it. Follow the tool diagram because some models require screws or pliers for access. Clean the area, install each piece in the correct order, and test the line feed before trimming.

A damaged grass guard may fail to block debris or cut extra trimmer line. First check the guard, line blade, guide wheel, screws, and mounting area. Replace the guard if it is cracked, bent, or missing pieces. Make sure the new guard matches the complete tool model. Turn off the trimmer and remove its battery before starting. The line blade is included, but the guide wheel and mounting hardware are not. Install those saved pieces on the new guard, then make sure everything is tight before use.

This clutch assembly is a genuine OEM replacement kit for outdoor lawn equipment. The kit includes the clutch drum, clutch, clutch washer, and screw. The clutch assembly transfers power from the engine to the cutting attachment which allows you to operate the equipment. Over time, the clutch assembly may malfunction due to normal wear and tear or accidental damage. If the small clutch assembly fails, the engine will likely stall, and the cutting attachment will not be able to engage. To remove the clutch assembly, first bind the piston to prevent it from rotating. You can do this by removing the spark plug and inserting a length of rope into the cylinder with a few inches remaining outside. Remove the clutch cover and use a clutch removal tool to remove the nut that secures the assembly. Pull the old assembly from the crankshaft and position the new assembly in its place, ensuring it is securely fitted.
