ZICP720BSESS General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

Replaced Temperature Sensor and now it is getting cold.

Unscrewed old cartridge, ordered new cartridge, installed new cartridge by following very simple instructions. Took only one day for part to arrive from PartSelect although I paid for cheapest shipping, which was "ground." I was amazed!

Shut off the refrigerator and remove the two baskets in the freezer remove freezer compartment door .
I payed the door on a table this made impossible for easier
Replacement of the new seal . Especially because of the age of the refrigerator.
There was no problem reinstalling the door.

I have not yet done the repair. After watching this repair video two problems came to mind. First I only ordered one grommet not knowing that there were two (or more I don't yet know). The second problem is that this video must be for a fridge from like the 1940, but it looks NOTHING like mine from 2008. The manual shows a bazillion parts ... I started out replacing a bad thermostat, no problem,
when I hooked up the water, I found that the water resovior had a leak.
I replaced the resovior, easy fix, but I had to buy two 5/16 brass couplers.
then I found that the box would not get below 10 degrees, and the suction pressure was very low.
I figured that th ... Read more e fan motor was burned out, so I opened up the access covers, the fan motor was hanging there with broken mounts, so I replaced the motor, and repaired the mount.
Everything works great now, The parts shiping was very fast, I was impressed.
I thought I was going to get away without fixing everyones
HVAC problems when I retired.
Friends and family still remember that you are the HVAC man.

Had to defrost the freezer to melt off all the ice before servicing. Once that was done the icemaker replacement only took about 15-30 minutes to complete. The new icemaker came with many accessories and adaptors that were not needed and the instructions were based on replacing an older model and not really clear for my model. They men ... Read more tioned not being able to use the new stripper but it was exactly the same as the old one so I left the new one in place. All in all it was easy and did the job.

Totally followed the instructions of the video that came with the sensor. Unplugged the the fridge, defrosted the freezer. Cut off the main sensor that usually is the one that goes out. Installed the the new sensor with new wire terminals, crimped them and covered with electrical tape. Fridge works like a charm. Partsselect is excellent. ... Video is a great but still need to read the instuctions because there are parts you may need on the old ice maker. Saved myself a bit of money by not having to call a repairman. The process was very simple. I am glad I did it myself. Thank you Parts Select!

My Son removed two screws, electric plug and two (2) compresion nuts. He had to bend the bracket to fit, then replace it, in reverse order except the filler tube on the new valve was of a "stabb-in" type. Job was a piece of cake and this small project, solved all our problems with the Ice maker.

I replaced both the punp and water line. the website depicting the repair parts was the best i ever worked with. The parts were high quality delivered on time and easy to install. Total job cost $30 as opposed the cost of of a service man or a new refrig.

Turned the old filter loose, removed the adapter from it, put the adapter on the new filter and turned the new filter back into place.

First i removed two screws that holds the ice maker in, unplug the plug to the ice maker. I was able to remove the old one. Place the new one in screwed in the two screws and pluged in the plug and in just a little while i had ice again. I am a women, if i can do it any one can. We didn't think the dispenser problem was related to the filter - we were wrong! It took less than two minutes, including opening the box and unwrapping the filter.
