I had lost the bottom hinge during a move and so I rigged the hinge using an old tv antenna and the door never really quite worked right and it was VERY annoying. I stumbled upon this site and was surprised how inexpensive the part I needed was. I was very impressed with the speed of shipping and the install took maybe 5 minutes. The f

Pliers, Screw drivers
It was very simple! I assessed the situation and gathered my tools for the job. I used a flat head screwdriver, pliers, and electrical tape. I used the flat head screwdriver to release the switch from its location, the pliers to take the electrical terminations apart. I taped the wires individual so that I would not loose them in the door

, also not to short them out. I then unpackaged the new switch to install. Pulled the tape off one of the of the terminals while holding the wire, and attached it to the new switchs terminal post. Did the same with the other wire, then snapped the new switch back into place. Immediately had results. I opened and closed the door a few times in amazement that something so annoying such as a light in your fridge could be so easy to fix. Most of all, having a business to rely on to find the part and deliver in a timely fashion. Thank you Partselect.com, you were outstanding!!!

Easy fix, but they don't give you plenty of wire to work with. When I pulled the switch out it only had about an inch of wire that came with it. meaning if I didn't have a grasp on the wires as I was removing the switch they would have slipped back up the opening

Installation was super easy. I just removed first both drawers and then the base where the glass was installed, placed the new glass there carefully making sure that it fitted inside the gap to secure it and place everything back to the fridge the way it was. Presto!

Our daughter spilled juice on the refrigerator light button. It started with the light coming on very slowly and then not at all. We popped off the old button with a flat head screwdriver, plugged in the new one. Works perfect. Can't believe how inexpensive and easy the fix was.

Despite attempts to quiet the 2 year old fan, I went ahead and replaced it. Part Select was prompt with a new one at my door less than 24 hours. It was just the fan motor, so took a couple extra steps to place it in the metal housing, but no problems and though the frig still makes noises, it's not coming from the fan as before.

Open freezer, remove rack....this got a little complicated because I had to remove the door, that required the offset screwdriver because I had a clearance issues preventing the door from opening all the way. Remove the panel covering the fan, unplug the fan, remove it from bracket, install new fan, plug in, replace panel, replace rack, r

Removal of the original gasket was easy and required no tools. Based on compression in the shipping container, the new gasket was deformed. Using a shallow broiler pan, I brought water to a lite boil. The deformed gasket areas were placed in the water for approximately 10-seconds then placed in cool water. The new gasket came with specifi

On the move-in cleaning of the refrigerator I accidentally broke the glass encased shelf, and I don't believe there was a cover (glass or otherwise) in place that covered the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable bins. Wondering through the internet I found Part Select, ordered Parts 224 and 228. Installation really did take less than 30 minutes incl

uding, washing, drying, and placement of the two shelves. It's exactly what was needed. The refrigerator once again looks like a refrigerator with all the shelves in place. The customer service folks were more than helpful. All you need to do before placing the order is look at what you need to replace, write down the the model number, the serial number of your product part needed and chat with the customer service folks. All should go well. I'm happy.

The three bulbs would then remain on, so I loosened them to keep them off. I didn't know that the cooling system also would stop when the door was open, so for two days only the side freezer was operational. When I discovered that, I hot glued the switch button off, while I searched for a replacement part. The replacement part was an e

I crossed my fingers an hoped the part would get to our remote cabin in Oquossic, Maine. It arrived by Fed Ex during our second week. I unpacked it and slid it into place. No harm/no foul! Whew! Imagine what the rental company would have charged for the repair. I paid $36 with shipping.
