WWFC13M4NW2 Westinghouse Freezer - Instructions

I bought the freezer second hand, When I really started using it all the time it was inconvenient for the single items to reach down in three feet of larger frozen items.

I just came home and got the model number and put name of the freezer in the search engine, Bingo it was done and I win.

Only took a couple days and my new basket was here. I am so pleased I ordered a second one.

Moved the refrig. out, removed the four screws that held the lower access panel in place. Disconnected the power cord. Removed the retainer clip wire and pulled the relays from the compressor socket. Separated the relays and installed the secondary relay on the new starter relay. Reinstalled the starter relay assembly into the compressor ... Read more socket. Plugged the power cord in and listened for the compressor to cycle on. It cycled on and continued to run. Turned the power off and reinstalled the retainer clip wire. Reinstalled the access panel and plugged the power back in and left the refrig. run overnight. Checked temperature and also started the ice maker. Everything was normal by morning.

After earlier determing that the starter switch was at fault, I removed the cardboard lower back panel, shut off water to the ice maker, removed water line. The plug to the compressor containing the switch and capacitor was held on by a spring clip, removed clip pulled wires from old switch (Here needle nose pliars are handy as the spade ... Read more clips on the 2 wires have their own locking clips) replaced switch and all wiring, tested unit and problem solved.

Unscrewed the lower back cardboard panel and removed it. Unplugged refrigerator. Reached in and took the metal piece off that keeps the starter from coming off. Pulled the starter off the compressor. Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

Defrosted freezer, hose broke due to dry-rot. Used towels to let water drain into pan. Now with the plug minimal frost build-up. No ice at all. Now if I could get a new hose to drain the water that would be great.

Used a thin screwdriver to lift out the burned out light assembly. Unplugged the old light unit and installed the new one. Plugged in the freezer and the light worked. Easy as pie.
