This door hinge is designed for use with dryers. The door hinge supports the door and allows the door to swing open and closed with ease. The hinge is made of metal, and it is easy to install, you will need a screwdriver. While holding the door, remove the four screws found on the cover plate of the door, this will allow you to remove the door from your appliance and access the hinge. Once the door is removed make sure you save the plastic bushings from the original hinge. You will then remove the two larger screws on the hinge, then slide the hinge straight up, and pull it out of the appliance. Place the plastic bushings on the new hinge, attach the hinge to the dryer, and reinstall the door.

If your dryer is not heating, or not getting hot enough you will need to test and possibly replace your heating element. This assembly comes with both the heating element and the thermostat (NTC and protector). This assembly does not come with the heat shield or the screws, those are sold separately. First you need to unplug your appliance, remove the rear panel, locate the heating element assembly, and carefully remove the wire leads to this part, as well as any screws holding it in place. To install the new assembly, simply attach it to the back of the dryer where the older element was, connect the wire leads, and replace the rear panel. Refer to model specific diagrams for exact location and placement.

Part #00422177
This high limit thermostat is a safety mechanism used in dryers. It is a temperature control switch that helps regulate the internal temperature of your gas or electric dryer. When the dryer temperature reaches a certain level, in this case 195 degrees, the high limit thermostat will break the circuit and prevent the appliance from sending power to the heating element. This allows the internal temperature to cool down. When it reaches a certain level the thermostat will close the circuit and allow the appliance to start heating again. If your dryer will not heat at all, or if your dryer is getting too hot you will need to test the thermostats. Some models have more than one thermostat so be sure to test them all. Testing is simple, you use a multi-meter to ensure there is continuity, if there is no continuity at room temperature the high limit thermostat will need to be replaced.

Replacing a faulty thermostat can prevent overheating, reduce fire risk, and extend the life of the dryer. Temperature Sensor
Part #00422221
An NTC sensor, or thermistor helps regulate the internal temperature of your appliance. This part monitors the temperature and tells the control board what temperature your appliance is running at. If it is too hot the thermistor will tell the control board and it will stop sending heat into the appliance, and once it has cooled the control board will then start heating again. If the sensor is not working properly your appliance might trip, you might notice it will not run, it will not start, it will turn itself off mid-cycle, or it may not heat properly. First you want to ensure there is no debris around the sensor, and that the NTC terminal connectors are not loose, it might be as simple as tightening the connection or cleaning the senor. If everything appears to be in working order and it is still not functioning properly you can test this part at room temperature with a multi-meter. Before repairing your appliance make sure it is unplugged.

Remove 4 screws on plastic cover of hinge that connects to the door. An assistant will come in handy at this point to hold the door. Then remove 2 screws holding hinge. Push up on hinge and pull out to remove hinge bracket. Hinge pins has plastic covers that need to be in place before attaching to the door. A small amount of vaseline will hold them in place.

Did a quick on line search of the problem and found the Limiter Switch is normally the solution.....loaded the model number in the PartSelect data base and received the correct part the next day (standard shipping)! Replaced the part in about 45 mins and works perfectly. While I was ordering the Limiter switch I figured it was a good ti me to replace the drum light bulb as well. Again, perfect match. Great experience with PartSelect, will be sure to use them again!
