Freezer was cooling but frig compartment was not.

  • A Bit Difficult

I suspected the frig thermistor so I cut wires to the original. The new part was not a direct replacement, but was adaptable. I’m not sure the frig design would allow for an OEM replacement anyway. I clipped off the useless connector on the new thermistor and spliced the thermistor in by soldering wires appropriately. That was a bit diffi cult due to the short available length of the wires, and it didn’t solve the problem. Since it seemed like the damper responded normally to power-off resets and diagnostics using the onboard control buttons, I decided the main control board pretty much had to be the culprit. It was. Replacing the board was a piece of cake. Only a 1/4” nutdriver required, plus maybe a small screwdriver for prying here or there. Happy to have the frig working again.

Checked a video on YouTube and found questions and answers to this concern.. All lead to the compressor capacitor. Entered part # on your Website. Capacitor come right up and also suggested a Start Device. I ordered both parts as I was not sure if these parts would fix my problem.
R/R rear panel, found Capacitor and replaced it... Compressor came on and refrigerator operated correctly after defrosting Evaporator coils..

Countertop Dishwasher - Non Whirlpool
2 of 5 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Peter from PLEASANT PR, WI
  • Very Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
Since I have All Whirlpool appliances in the home, the only one not a Whirlpool was a counter top dishwasher that looks exactly like it could be a Whirlpool and so not to be the odd unit out, I labeled it with with a Whirlpool logo nameplate on the face of the door. Now everything matches perfectly and all in the same exact color white t oo.

Just measured and marked where the plate was to be located, cleaned that part of the surface, peeled the backing and carefully placed the logo name plate in place and pressed it on. Voila. Done and looks original as well. Call me the big, deep fakearooski.

Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discol oring refer handles. Thank you

Note: when blocking refrigerator, care must be taken not to let block extend under entire frame. it only needs to be placed app rox 3/4" under edge of refrigerator.
