Is there a water filter bypass plug available for this Whirlpool refrigerator? I don't need a filter.

Hello Ed, Thank you for the question. There is no bypass cap needed for this unit. You can simply remove the filter and it will by pass that function. I hope this helps.

A few weeks ago, the “open door alarm” and red door open light would not stop alarming. I opened and closed all doors. Nothing worked. About an hour later, the alarms stopped. Problem: Now the lights inside the unit will not light when door is open. The ice makers will not make ice and the door will not dispense water

It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty door switch PS12731166 and/or possibly a malfunctioning water inlet valve PS11738056 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. Led lights inside refrigerator flash bright to dim intermittently when doors are open. Is there a fix for it?

Thank you for your question. If the LED lights are flickering inside your refrigerator, you may have a defective LED board and it will need to be replaced. You should also need to check the control module and the electronic control board. Unplugging the refrigerator and plugging it back in sometimes helps to resolve the issue. We hope this helps! Fridge shuts down starts making clicking noise. I unplug wait plug back in powers up runs fine maybe week or few days and then does it again someone mention control board if so part #? Any help appreciated. Fridge 4years old

I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
The easiest thing to do was pull the ice make off. After taking the 3 screws out of the wall of the freezer, take a screwdriver (flathead) and push on the tab for the electrical plug and wiggle the cord out. Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy.
