Fridge side warm. Freezer was ok.

Popped off the front plastic cover on the bottom of the fridge, under the doors. Two screws held the defrost timer on under the front side of fridge (below freezer door). You can't really see the timer except for the adjustment knob that is accessible through a hole. Once the screws are removed, disconnect the wire plug and remove and re placed unit. Works fine ever since.

I unscrewed the old rails and took the number to order on the first day. The order came on the 3rd day. Can you imagine such fast service.
My daughter is a single mom with 4 children, one of whom was responsible for the breakage. I am the grandmother and was very grateful for the fast service and great price. The drawer was inst alled in 10 minutes. I just screwed the old screw into the new part and replaced the drawer. Thanks

The broken fan made my refrigerator sound like a lawn mower I pulled the refrigerator out of it's nook and disconnected the power, removed the back panel with my battery powered drill motor, slid the old fan off of motor shaft, slid the new fan back on ran it to make sure the problem was corrected. The entire repair took less than fifte en minutes and was as simple as it could be. Please be careful when cleaning your coil, as the fan is easily damaged if you should contact it.

Fantastic!
Sent in a brief description of problem and model number. Reply and description of other customers experiences guided us to the exact problem.
We ordered the part on Friday and it was here on Tuesday.
I prepared the freezer compartment for the removal of the old motor and on Sunday husband installed new Evaporato r Fan Motor.

It works and is cooling like it did when it was new.

This has been a great experience as all repairmen wanted at least 60.00 to just come out and determine what the problem was. I can only imagine what the final bill would have been.

This was easy and inexpensive.

Thanks for all the help.

I snapped the parts into place. The fact that the parts I recieved were original parts from Frigidaire made all the difference. I feel if the parts had been after market parts they would not have fit so well.

Lightning struct the house and fried the evap thermostat
8 of 11 people found this instruction helpful.
  • charles from parker, CO
  • A Bit Difficult
  • More than 2 hours
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers, Socket set
Noticed the evap fan wasn't working, so trying to disconnect the wire broke the connection so had to order a new motor. Installed the motor but it still didn't work. Had a technician look at it and he said it was the control board. Ordered and installed control board and still didn't work. The only element left is the evap thermostat. Jumped the thermostat and it worked so ordered and installed a thermostat. It works now
