Frost collecting inside left side of freezer. Does it need a new gasket
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Susan, thank you for reaching out to us. First, clear the drain or any ice buildup that has formed. Check the freezer door gasket, part number PS11754714, and make sure the door is sealing properly. If the freezer door is not tightly sealing, warm air can enter, which can cause ice buildup again. Also, check fresh food doors gaskets as well, if they are not sealing properly replace them as well. Check the defrost heater, part number PS11738607. If the defrost heater is faulty, ice will build up quickly, which can block the drain again. Check the evaporator fan blades and motor, if the blades are fine and the fan is still not working properly, replace the evaporator fan motor, part number PS11773024. We hope this information helps!

The easiest thing to do was pull the ice make off. After taking the 3 screws out of the wall of the freezer, take a screwdriver (flathead) and push on the tab for the electrical plug and wiggle the cord out. Then you can take 3 screws out for the main cover and another 2 screws on the next cover. There's the part, pop it out and replace h olding pins and start the process of putting back together the opposite way you took it apart.
