It was making lots of noise. Halfway through the cycle it would not pump all the water out

First unplug the washer. Make sure and drain washer completely. If not drained remove front panel , Remove 2.5 inch Plastic drain cover which has a catch bin on it. This will allow it to drain the washer. Put pan underneath to catch the water. Tip washer back and prop up with something 6 inches tall to get to the screws underneath. A cement block would work well. Use pliers to squeeze hose clamp together to remove the Hoses. Gently lift up The flip down cover Over the top of the wire harness Push in the tab on the wire harness, Gently pull back on the wire harness. Remove two mountings screws from the bottom of the washer. Slide the whole pump housing to the right and Lift up. Now the pump is been removed. Inspect inside the hoses For Debrie. Remove anything that is left in the hoses. Reinstall the pump in reverse order from the way you took it off. Leave front panel off Make sure all hoses and wire harness are hooked up. Run wash cycle to make sure there are no leaks. Do not put hands in while running. If no leaks replace front panel. Not sure if this is the right way But this is the way we did it and it worked well. Washer runs quieter now than it did when we got it

I used the video at parts select as a review, then just followed it. Easy de-install, reminder there's water in the line be prepared with a pot or vase to hold the water. Easy install. Washer runs perfect now. As quiet as when we bought it. I always try to fix before I re-buy, not a big green guy but I try to keep stuff working and out of land fills. Also the part was at my door in 1 day, Awsome!.

The drain pump cracked over the winter
  • John from Drexel Hill, PA
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Pliers, Socket set
After unplugging the washer, the unit was pulled forward and tipped backwards, I placed a 2x4 under the washer to serve as a brace. I removed the existing bolts holding the old pump in place, removed the spring hose clams, unplugged the pump and removed the damaged part. inserted the new drain pump, re-inserted the bolts and tightened them, replaced the spring clamps with "regular" hose clamps supplied with the replacement part, plugged in the power supply, removed the brace, pushed back the unit and plugged it into the outlet. From start to finish - about 20 minutes. Was running wash about a half hour after I started.

The washer was sending an error code (F21) and it was getting worse about draining I tore it apart twice and decided to order a new pump through your website and it can quick and I installed it and it works perfectly now after a year of cleaning the filter and not getting anywhere

My dryer is on top my washer so I removed the dryer and pulled the washer out. I had to get rid of the water that was inside so I used my wet vacuum on the drain hose and sucked it out I then removed the front cover and the I tipped it back and removed two screws from the bottom of the pump bracket underneath the washer and moved the two clams on the pump hoses back to uncouple the hoses. I removed the pump and installed the new one and hocked everything back including the wires to the pump which is just a quick connect and pushed it back into place and it worked like new

Water on the floor under washer
  • Jeffrey from Saugus, CA
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins

I pulled the front load washer away from the wall and unplugged. I tilted it back against the wall. I removed three screws from the lower front cover plate of washer. Once removed, I had access to the tub to pump hose which I found a small hole in. I went online to Partselect and found my part. The hose was connected in three different pl aces by compression clamps. I then pulled the compression clamps off the connections. Cleaned up all connection points with a damp rag. Upon installation of the new tub to pump hose, I discarded the compression clamps and installed the new part using radiator clamps purchased at a auto parts store. Plugged washer back in and started a load too make sure all connections were good and tight with no leaks. After checking for leaks, I re-installed the front cover plate. Tilted washer back down being careful not too set it down hard or on my feet. Job Done....

Making noise, not draining properly.
  • Keith from Dayton, TX
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Pliers, Screw drivers
Put towel down to catch excess water, opened drain screen, used pliers to remove squeeze clamps on both hoses, removed front hold-down torx-head bolt and slid pump assembly out. Compared new part to old and found 2 differences 1:no hold-down location in front for bolt,2: the rubber padded feet are not the same. I was able to remove the tw o screws on the right side and use just the rubber pad for support while sliding the left side in the slot and is was plenty stable and works just fine. I guess the Whirlpool Duet model is a bit different on mounting but everything else fit quite well, the washer is working perfectly again.

I removed the three bottom screws and removed the plate. Removed the control panel, removed the star screw on the left side and pulled off the front panel of the machine. Loosen the bellow clamp with a phillips head and pull off the front spring clamp on the bellow. Pull off the old bellow and re installed the new one. Installed and tight ened the bellow clamp and spring loaded clamp on the front of the bellow and re installed the panel, and control panel. Checked for leaks.
