This temperature sensor, also known as a thermistor, is compatible with various makes and types of appliances. This thermistor uses electrical currents to detect the interior temperature of the appliance it is in and by working with the control board, the board adjusts the level of cooling or heating through its heating or cooling element, depending on what is needed. If your appliance is being improperly heated or cooled, the temperature sensor may be to blame, and can be tested with a multimeter to check for continuity to see whether it is defective. THERMOSTAT
Part #EBG51439303
This thermostat is a temperature-sensing device that controls and maintains the desired temperature inside the oven. It is an OEM replacement part that works by monitoring the internal oven temperature and signaling the heating elements to turn on or off as needed to maintain the set temperature. You can find the thermostat at the back of the oven, near the top or bottom. In some ovens, it may be located behind the control panel. Thermostat failure can occur due to wear and tear, electrical issues, or damage. If the thermostat fails, it can result in temperature inconsistencies, such as the oven not reaching the desired temperature or overheating. This can lead to uneven cooking, undercooking, or burning of food. Before beginning this repair, disconnect the oven from the power source to avoid electrical hazards Locate the thermostat and carefully disconnect the wires connected to it. It is advisable to take a picture or label the wires to ensure proper reconnection later. Gently pull out the thermostat from its housing and position the new thermostat in place. Reattach the wires to the corresponding terminals on the new thermostat. Reconnect the oven to the power source and test that the new thermostat is functioning by monitoring the temperature inside the oven.
