TUD6900PQ2 Estate Dishwasher - Instructions

This spinner is attached to a plastic module PN WP3379369 which is held in place by two screws to the top of the dishwasher. I was able to temporarily reattach the spinner by using a hot soldering iron to melt the nylon axle that goes through the spinner. By using a very small metal washer placed on top of the spinner I was able to melt e ... Read more nough off the end of the nylon axle so as to keep the spinner in place and still be able to rotate. By far the most difficult part of this repair is removing the two stops that prevent the upper washer rack being removed from the machine. Doing so requires using a pair of long nosed pliers and taking note of what needs to be squeezed. Even if installing a new part the upper rack needs to be removed in order to get access to this central part.

Pulled dishwasher out from counter. Took cover off and replaced door springs.

Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower dish rack.
The spray arm nut had broken off and the spray arm was wobbly.
Removed the spray arm. The threads of the nut had broken off inside the arm. I used three 1/4 inch bolts and inserted them together inside the threaded part of nut and turned counterclockwise. The threaded sec ... Read more tion came out.
Once the new nut arrived, I replaced the spray arm in the dishwasher and screwed the new nut clockwise in the center of the arm. That's it!

required NO tools,

just unscrew the large thumb screw, and replace the washer arm bearing!

problem solved like that!

maybe a 5 min job. part was a perfect match.

Was a simple task to perform, a child could have done it. The technical skills diagnosing it was a bit hard though. The skills finding the culprit was indeed simple. Rubber was torn. Now to find out why it won't dry properly at the heating element is another task. It leaves water droplets on the dishes.
Once I got the rubber screw on attachment installed the dishes are clean & dry now & no water dropplets on the dishes.
The water dispenses up to the top like it suppost to throught the small tube to wash the upper rack dishes.
The wife is happy now she doesn't have to clean & dry them by hand.

The old gasket around the door pulled out easily but was pretty nasty. While cleaning the channel out, kept finding more gunk that had built up. I decided to go ahead and take off the Inner Door. Used Torx driver to take off the screws. Found a tremendous amount of gunk built up. Was well worth taking the extra time to clean it all o ... Read more ut. Replaced the Inner Door and put new gasket in channel. No more leaking!

Recently bought a whirlpool dishwasher, the dishwasher was converted to a portable dishwasher and they did not use the cord application power cord so they machine was blowing our breaker, instructions were very simple and installation was easy!

Researched parts - 10 minutes - - - Ordered parts - 5 minutes - - - Waited for parts - 14 DAYS! - - - Installed parts - 5 minutes

Removed piece of nut that remained and screwed in new one by hand

Very easy to remove the broken one and just clip in the new one.

Easy fix. It’s a screw on by hand piece.

Just click in, you can basically do it with your eyes closed

Removed seal from door with flat head screwdriver, replaced with new seal. Actually took longer to get out of the box rather than to fix!

Note I did not have a model number just the manufacturer and name on unit. The website was still able to find the part. Impressive!
Easy installation. I recommend you also get the sprayarm seal. Be careful to insure the nut is seated securely before screwing in the nut. Highly recommend the video. Good company.
