Removed two screws to that held the old bracket. Installed new part and replaced the screws. Very simple. About 10 minutes. The part cost about $38.00. A repairman charged my neighbor 100 + dollars for the part and plus installation for the exact same thing. I highly recommend Partselect.

Replacement of hood light bulbs

Unplug the microwave. Then remove the six screws that hold the lower panel which has the light bulb cover and a couple of vent filters. The light bulb sockets are on a fixture that is connected by a quick connect electrical connector. Disconnect that and the whole panel is free to access the bulbs. My bulbs were very fragile and tryin g to twist them out resulted in the glass twisitng loose with the base still in the sockets. I needed to use a needle nose pliers to remove the bases and then I replaced the bulbs and put every thing back together

Simply removed two screws to remove the old vent grille and replaced it with the new grille. I was also very pleased with the assistance I received from the service rep. I had ordered the wrong grille. I called the PartSelect help number and the rep walked me through the product return process, then found the correct part and ordered it. I had the replace 3 - 4 days later. The rep was very polite and patient during the whole process.

Vent grill was broken by a clean freak

Didn't realize this part had two tabs with reinforced screwholes in it. Those obviously had snapped off at some time in the distant past, and I had always removed the grille for cleaning carefully and washed it by hand and replaced it. The clean freak moved in and took this out WEEKLY and all the other tabs were eventually cracked and m ade the grille unusable; it kept rattling and falling out. When I got the replacement I noticed the broken tabs and replaced the item in a few minutes after removing the debris of five or six tabs and finding a Philips head screwdriver for the apparent screws (in fine shape, they were!) and tab remnants. Good fit, looks like new. Now hopefully the clean freak won't find my screwdriver next week.
