TGF367CFTA Tappan Range - Instructions

First I removed the two screws that held the element in place.I then pulled the element out and cut the wires.I used wire nuts to put the new wirers on and put it back in place with the two screws.I tried it and it worked perfect.

CUT THE WIRES ON OLD IGNITER AND WIRE NUT THE WIRES OF THE NEW IGNITER TO WHERE I CUT THE OLD ONE OFF.

open oven door remove bottom of oven then remome the metal cover over the burner to expose the ignighter remove 2 screws that hold it to the bracket. the two wire's that come out of the ignighter run down under the bottom oven pan, i removed the bottom front cover by lifting up and then pulled out, then i could see the wires i removed the ... Read more wire nuts and pulled old wires off and removed old ignighter. i pulled off the insulator covers from the old one and slid them on the wires of the new ignighter then i fished the wires back down and and attachted them with the wire nuts, then reasembled the rest of the oven. woks great!

Remove 2 screws located toward front of oven using a nutdriver or socket. After removing burner cover , you will find oven igniter. Now remove bottom drawer. This is why its a bit difficult for others. Igniter has 2 leads. Laying down on the floor and reaching in to follow-identify where the 2 leads go to. Using same nutdriver or socket remove 2 screws that hold up the igniter. I cut the leads from the base of the old igniter so you will have some slack to work on when you reconnect the wires underneath. Install new igniter, run leads same way.Strip back about 3/8 in. wire, twist leads to proper wires and twist on ceramic wire cap that is provided. Make sure no bare wires are exposed! Now you can test.

first i removed the bottom of the oven [inside the oven] ,the part was right there,i removed 2 screws and unpluged the wires,then i cut the wire ends off the old part and used the wirenuts that came with the new one to hook them to the new part,then put it back in place,put the screws back in put the bottom back in and was done

Removed lower drawer of oven and base panel of oven. Unplugged stove from outlet. Removed old igniter w/ nut driver (two screws). Disconnected wires (blade connectors) from stove base. Disconnected two-pole plug from oven after removing protective cover in corner.

had to remove burner bolts holding igniter were stripped cut two wires replaced igniter using two self tapping screws put wires together using wirenuts Honey making cookies right now thanks already told friends about you

Turned the gas and the electricity off to the gas range. Took the two large screws out in the back of the range holding on the first pan. Have to look for them. Took off the single nut holding on the second pan. Used nut drive #10 to take off nuts. Be careful you do not lose them. Took off inoperative unit. Cut wires to unit. Stripp ... Read more ed wires which connect to range. Put new unit on and tightened nuts with nutdriver. Spliced wires together and put on wire nuts securely. Taped them to the wires. Put the second pan back, then the first pan. Turned on gas and electricity to test.
Worked fine. Found that the old unit was cracked and had a piece missing. Must use flashlight. Be safe.

I used the tutorial as a guide, and went ahead with the repair. Because of the older model I was working on there were many more screws to remove, not a problem the repair was simple.

Removed oven door. (two screws)
Removed racks.
Removed oven floor. (two finger screws)
Removed diverter (V) tray. (one nut)
Removed small panel @ left lower back of oven
(1 screw) to access elect. power disconnect.
Disconnected power.
Removed element (two square drive screws)
Snipped and stripped ol ... Read more d wires, connected new
with ceramic wire nuts supplied.
Installed new element, reversed proceedure.
Oven lights in 10 seconds. Wife happy!
Probably 40 minutes, could do it again in15-20
once you know what tools to lay out.

1 - I unplugged the oven/ stove connection.
2 - Removed 2 screws and lifted it out the floor of the oven.
3 - Removed the nut holding down the flame guard and lifted it out.
4 - Removed 2 screes that held igniter in place.
5 - cut the wires for igniter.
6 - Stripped new wires with the nuts connector.

8 - Put it all back together step 3 & 2.
9 - Plugged in the oven/stove connection.
10 - Turn on the oven and works perfectly.
11 - My wife and daughter happy and ready to bake.

I removed the bottom of the oven and flame guard for access to the ingniter. I then replaced the ingniter. The oven works like new now.

I removed the oven floor and subfloor. I detached the old ignighter leaving the wires still attached. I then attached the new ignighter and fed each of the two new wires down through the bottom of the oven floor following the same path of the old wires which were still attached. I then attached the oven floors and turned the oven on which now works. The tough part is pulling the oven out from the wall to disconnect the power and turn off the gas. Removed the broiler compartment door by depressing the slide stops inward and pulling the door off. Turned off the breaker to the oven. Used a nut driver to remove the old ignitor ( 2 screws ). Cut the wires off the old ignitor close to the porclin. Measured the new ignitor wires to match up with the old ignitor wires and cut them. St ... Read more ripped 3/8 " off ends of newely cut wires of the ignitor and used the supplied wire nuts to secure them together. Replaced the new ignitor with the 2 screws. Turned on the oven and a cooking I went.
