TEF367CCSC Tappan Range - Instructions

I looked up the error code on line and found it was likely a faulty oven temp sensor. I was able to find the part and diagram at partselect.com and placed an order. The probe was in stock and arrived within a couple days. The repair took only about 20 minutes and works fine now. Thanks for your help partselect.com!

I first lifted the top of the stove up where the burners are then removed 7 philips head screws plus the 2 screws that hold the latch in place, which is just above the oven door. Took upper back off ( 6 screws), chech to be sure was right switch, pulled spade clip wires of, put on new switch, checked to see that it worked, replace cover.

pulled oven out, unplugged, unscrewed element attachment to the back of the oven (from the inside). element did not work. we tested the upper element and that did not work either. the burst of sparks, heat and flame from the shorting of the original element caused damage to the computer board. we called a local repair man to change the ... Ordered new racks and replaced them.

It snapped right into the drawer, was very easy

Removed trim screws,(4) , lifted range top and removed the element after taking a picture of same. then disconnected the wires. I was upset because the new element had a different wire configuration. TURN OFF CIRCUIT BREAKER OR UNPLUG FROM SOCKET! Removed back of range panel: easy
Disconnected wires to elements: easy (one broken off)
Replaced connector: easy
Pulled both elements out and replaced: easy
Tested and replaced range back panel: easy

Be careful when handling steel panels...they can cut your ... Read more hands! Use nutdrivers, they're better than screwdrivers. Use a good flashlight.

The repair went relatively easy especially after reading that another homeowner found the door to be "spring loaded". First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. The I reversed the process to install the new element which was exactly the same as the burned out one.

Needless to say, I am thrilled that I don't have to buy a new stove. This one now works perfectly!

First of all I would like to comment on how it easy it was to place this order and I was pleasantly surprised that it was rec'd the next day. Also it was the correct part that I needed. To install it, first I removed the screws and then the metal that was holding the broken glass. Once the broken glass was removed, I set the new glass ... Please note to be careful to remember which screws go where as they are not the same size and do not fit anywhere but where they belong. That was the only part of the job that I had a problem with.

2 1/4 inch screws and 2 blade connectors fir the power. Took me longer to find my nutdriver than the repair.

removed the old burner and put the new one in it's place.

It was really easy just unplugged it took off the back cover changed the part out put back cover on plugged it in and the elements were working great!
