If your igniter is glowing and the oven is not heating there is a chance that the igniter is not strong enough to heat your oven and it will need to be replaced.

This gas oven safety valve ensures that no gas is released until the igniter has received the proper voltage needed to ignite the gas range. This valve has a 3/8 of an inch inlet flare as well as a 3/8 of an inch outlet flare, and should be used in conjunction with a flat style oven igniter.

This part establishes and maintains the internal temperature of the oven cavity.
