I just installed the new part. There were no tools required. I bought an extra part
I ordered the part on Monday, and it arrivefor the other side in case it breaks.

I Disconected The 3' hose Behind Impellor.Unscrew Cap Holding Impellor In. Pull It Out, Replce With New One.Put It Back Together In Reverse

I went on line and found the partselect website and was able to identify the defective parts using the schematic drawings. I ordered the parts and in about an hour I had reassembled the dishwasher and had it running again much to the joy of my wife and children. (No more washing dishes by hand!). This was an easy fix. My husband took out the old gasket and put the new one in. It fit perfectly and no more leak. The part got to us really quickly too and that was nice. No more hand washing the dishes! :)

Went to PartsSelect. Put in Dishwasher model number. Chose the screws for that model number. Ordered the screws. Can't get any easier than that!

Long spring broke that pulls soap cup open

Opened the door by using a star screwdriver. Pulled the door inside from the outside. Located the broken spring, put in new one (be very carefull to see how the insides are put together..makes life ALOT easier), and carefully put back together.

Old whirlpool soap dispenser latch wasn't working

Bought a house and with it can an old whirlpool dishwasher in where the soap dispenser lid would latch, as the latch itself was gone. Unfortunately, a mouse had made its home on top of our surround insulation. For hygienic reasons, I replaced the surround.

1. Turn off the electrical switch that powers the dishwasher. 2. Open the door of the dishwasher and find the two phillips head screws that secure the top of the dishwasher to the kitchen counter. 3. ose, electric cord, and dishwasher drain hose may not be long enough to allow you to pull it out very far - don't break or kink the hoses). 5. Remove (pull off) the black plastic fastener located on the bottom/rear of each side of the dishwasher. 6. Remove the old surround. 7. Lay the new wrap in place and secure with the two plastic fasteners. 8. Push back into place, secure the two screws, check your hoses.
