RUD1000DB4 Roper Dishwasher - Instructions

I just followed the video, and it now works perfectly! Thanks SOOO much! great site, great info.

Shut off water supplyand removed front cover below door. Remove flexable water line (wrench set), valve and bracket (nutdriver), and input hose (pliers). Installed flexable line on valve, replaced input hose on valve, then installed valve and bracket. Found screen on input to valve almost completely blocked with buildup of materail. Repla ... I watched the video, read all the post, they all said change the heater. So I did. Only there is a little fuse at the back of the unit that also goes bad and that was my issue. Have it ordered and will be going soon. That said, Part Select made finding and getting my parts a breeze!

Made sure the power and water were not connected to the dishwasher. Removed the bottom panel. Unhooked the old part. Put some plumber's tape around the threads, hooked it all back up. Runs just as good.

Performed repair as to Video shown in receipt after purchase of spring plus we used a friend who has same dishwasher and has performed the same repair recently, video was easier to follow though. The top of the latch was broken on I had to push the plunger back through the mounting to get it out. ai had to pull the whole assembly apart to get the locking nut out. i remove the latch assy and took about 10 minutes to figure out how to put it back together. Bought a house and with it can an old whirlpool dishwasher in where the soap dispenser lid would latch, as the latch itself was gone. Ordered the latch from part select and used the installation video to switch the latch out. Only problem I came across was that the torx screws at top of he door were free spinning. i took the inside door off and took the 2 switches out and replaced them; not too difficult.

Trial and error. The spring was difficult to install, the pin and door were easy.

The video was of great help. One area that gave me grief was placing the small part with points under the plastic mechanism in the door. I tried to push the points into the open slot. I replaced the seal, still leaked. Once I noticed that it was only leaking from the left side, we did a Google search to find that the screen in the upper left of the door could be the issue, causing back pressure. Once the screen was cleaned, no more leaks.

Started down Parts Select list of possibilities. Replaced the door gasket (1/2 hour), still leaked. Replaced water deflectors (15 min), still leaked. Was looking at steam vent and read the repair submitted by "mary from Fountain Green UT". Removed and thoroughly cleaned the steam vent (1/2 hour). Stopped leaking and is working fine now. R ... Instructions very easy to follow

Remove lower rack in dishwasher, remove dishwasher, lay dishwasher on it's back, remove and replace motor and pump.Install new impellar with new seal. reconnect water, electrical and drain hose. Easy Peasy
