It was so easy!
Thanks for the rush to my home on the part.
I just unscrewed the plate that locks in the light switch (screwdriver) and unplugged the old faulty part and plugged in the new switch, screwed the cover back on and I was done!
Easy!

Once I identified the problem, Partselect's web page made it easy to find a replacement part. The Housing Control unit was easy to remove as it had one screw in the middle, by the temprature control section, and two screws to either end. The center screw required a philips head, but the end once did not need to be removed. The unit coul

d simply be slid out and the wiring is easy to disconnect. Then it was simply a process of inserting the components from the damaged Housing Control unit, to the new one. If you treat it like a "puzzle" you'll get the results you want with out the aggrevation that it could turn into.

I opened rear wall inside freezer (two screws) cut the wires on old thermostat and removed it. Then I attatched the new thermostat to the existing wires using wire nuts and electrical tape and slid it onto the copper tubing. Re-installed the rear wall. Freezer works like a charm and the refridgerator is also colder. Job completed in twent

At first I went to a local part supplier and they didn't have it in stock but could order it for me for $55.00 plus $10.00 to ship it. I told them I would have to think about it. I went home and got on the computer and found your web site and was I shocked when I saw the same part listed for $6.98 and $7.00 to ship it. You guys saved m

Repair went very well with removal of old gasket and the new replacement. The replacement fit (OEM ?) did not fit as nice as the old one. Two screw holes at opposite corners never lined up with holes in new gasket. Some of the gasket inner folds did not fit nicely but they work with no issues.

First took all frozen food out and than undid the screws that held back on--than cut the wires that held the piece and replaced it but also found that the plug was frozen so we thawed that out, that is why it took longer. Used air compressor to blow air and it broke it free and than we finished and put the food back after it got cold. So

Referencing the info/schematics you have on your website, I unscrewed/unattached top-front panel (carefully), from behind the panel you have to detach the wires (2) from the switch, pushed "in" the switch to remove, put in new switch and attach wires to test BEFORE remounting panel. Tada!! Thank you PartSelect! You saved me at least $80..
