RT14GDXAW00 Roper Refrigerator - Instructions

We looked up the problem online with the model number of the refrigerator. We ordered the part and followed the video installation that was sent with the order and was found online prior to purchasing

Basicly i bought this kit because I didnt know what part I needed. Our refer already had a icemaker. I pluged in the new ice maker and screwed it into the freezer in the exsisting holes. Presto a full box of ice in 48 hours.

This was really easy to do thanks to comments posted on the Partselect web site and the instructions included in the package. I removed three screws, unplugged the wire harness using a small screw driver to "unlock" the harness, removed the old ice maker assembly from the freezer, and reversed the process with the new assembly. Took three screws out of the old ice-maker, disconnected the electric pigtail in the freezer, shut the water off, removed two mounting screws on the water valve (back & bottom of fridge), used a wrench to remove the water lines.

VERY EASY - All the parts for various installation were included and the instructions are easy to follow.

I unscrewed the fill tube screws from the back of the fridge, and pulled the tube out.

Then I put the new tube in, screwed the screws back in and reconnected the waterline.

Simply removed the old and replaced with the new part.

bulbs were not burnt out. received the new switch in a few days. watch the short video, was good to see how it comes out. used a putty knife to release the defective switch, removed wires put them on the new one and posed the new switch back in. The repair was so easy. All I had to do was take out the screws, and fit the new pieces in. Even though the new pieces were chrome plated plastic (unlike the original metal black ones) you can't tell that they didn't come that way. It makes the refrigerator almost look brand new! Removed the two screws holding the funnel in place...removed the old one and replaced it witht he new tubing...screwed screws back in and the jov was complete. It actually took longer to get it out of the sack than it did to put it together

replaced ice maker with recommended add on kit. easy to replace exact replacement. used this company for washing machine part. parts correct both times.

Had to remove both doors freezer and fresh section. Once I had door off removed the screws, and old gasket, cleaned all aroud where old gasket was, and proceeded to put new gasket on, It was hard lining up gasket with metal rods that hold gasket on could only do one screw at a time, because gasket kept slipping out, it was very time consu ... Removed the one screw and replaced with new end cap. Only disappointment was the beige color, as I would have preferred a white one. White color was not offered. Other than that it took less than five minutes. I'd rate it 4 stars.

Because of the age of the unit, I replaced all but the wire harness. It was easy to repalce.

After finding water on the floor I investigated to find the leak. I Found theat the Icemaker fill tube on the back of the frig was cracked(due to someone pushing the frig back against the wall).
